Description

🧪 G.N.O.M.E. EQUIPMENT OVERVIEW — CURRENT STATUS

G.N.O.M.E. currently maintains four fully customized tiers of Void-based Armor and Shields.
Each tier grants increased defense, expanded abilities, and progressively louder internal debates among engineers.

The Adamantite Tier is classified as Extremely powerful.
The cost to create is Outrageously high.
The rewards are, regrettably, worth the grind.

🜏 Void Armor & Shields

Developed by the G.N.O.M.E. Institute
(Grand Network of Mystical Engineers)

Void equipment is created by infusing reinforced plating with volatile void crystals, experimental blood magic, and materials that were explicitly marked “do not combine.”

The result:
A terrifyingly powerful armor and shield system, and a manageable number of workplace incidents.

⚙️ Features

  • Void-infused plates that absorb, redirect, and occasionally retaliate against incoming damage
  • Blood magic bindings for enhanced resilience and refusal to fail gracefully
  • Shields respond dynamically to impact, threat level, and bad intentions
  • Emits a faint hum, glow, or whisper depending on mood
  • Crafted by certified G.N.O.M.E. engineers (certifications may be self-issued)

🛡️ Tier Progression

  • Tier I–III: Increasing defense, stability, and void interaction
  • Tier IV (Adamantite):
    • Defense values exceed projected limits
    • Void response becomes proactive
    • Shields and armor may inspire confidence, fear, or devotion

⚔️ Weapon Integration Addendum — VOID MITHRIL WEAPONS

Weapon development was not part of the original Void Equipment mandate.

That changed after a GNOME Institute experiment involving a standard Mithril sword, unauthorized void exposure, and a research note labeled:

“DO NOT APPLY TO EDGED WEAPONS.”

Mithril was expected to fracture, unravel, or cease to exist.

It did not.

Instead, the blade absorbed and stabilized the void energy, retaining structural integrity while gaining unprecedented resonance with void magic. This event marked the first successful weapon-grade void integration, officially designated the Void Mithril Sword.

Following this discovery:

  • Weapon void-infusion protocols were drafted
  • Safety manuals were revised (again)
  • Several engineers were reassigned away from sharp objects
  • The Void Equipment program was expanded to include additional weapons

Weapon deployment remains classified as WIP, pending continued testing and confirmation that the weapons are not actively planning anything.

⚔️ Void Mithril Sword

The original test subject and unwilling pioneer of weapon-grade void integration.
The sword absorbed void energy without deformation, complaint, or visible acknowledgment of safety guidelines.

Observed characteristics include:

  • Exceptional structural stability
  • Enhanced void resonance along the blade edge
  • Increased effectiveness against targets that regret being struck

The sword emits a faint hum when drawn.
This hum is not a warning.

Use is approved.
First contact with targets is discouraged from the target’s perspective.

🏹 Void-Infused Mithril Shortbow

The Mithril Shortbow was subjected to void essence infusion during a procedure that met the minimum definition of “controlled.”
The bow accepted the void immediately and without complaint.

Post-infusion behavior includes:

  • Increased draw strength without proportional physical resistance
  • Measurable reduction in perceived weight when unobserved
  • Bowstring tension recorded with no arrow nocked

The bow does not hum.
The bow does not whisper.
The bow does not judge the wielder.

These statements are accurate.

No fatalities occurred during infusion.
Several engineers reported the sensation of being evaluated. These reports were archived.

Use is approved.
Extended silence while holding the bow is considered normal.

🗡️ Void-Conjoined Mithril Daggers

Originally intended as a matched dagger set.

During void handling, Rusty the Intern tripped, rotated approximately 270 degrees, shouted “Heghlu’meH QaQ jajvam!”, and dropped the daggers into a boiling vat of void essence while attempting to demonstrate what he described as “zero-gravity alien combat maneuvers.”

The daggers did not melt.
They did not separate.
They fused.

Recovery and separation attempts resulted in:

  • Sustained silence from the blades
  • Active resistance during extraction
  • The confirmed loss of three (3) fingers
  • Rusty declaring the outcome “still canon”

Rusty has been reassigned to non-void-adjacent, non-boiling, non-weaponized duties and is no longer permitted to:

  • Speak Klingon
  • Reenact space combat
  • Handle paired weapons

The daggers remain conjoined, void-corrupted, synchronized, and unwilling to negotiate.

Disposal failed.
Separation failed harder.

Use is approved.

⚠️ Known Risks & Side Effects

  • Minor armor fractures under extreme conditions
  • Occasional purple sparks, void seepage, or reality disagreements
  • Temporary dizziness, shadow stains, or extra limbs (rare but documented)
  • Armor, shields, and weapons may whisper encouragement or threats — both are normal

🛑 Safety Warnings

  • Do NOT expose to holy light, excessive optimism, or anti-magic fields
  • Do NOT wear during sleep unless nightmares are part of your training
  • G.N.O.M.E. Institute is not responsible for injuries, mutations, cult formation, or existential dread

“If it breaks, that means it worked.”
— G.N.O.M.E. Institute, Engineering Division

📌 Fabrication Status Update

Currently only Copper versions created — this is no longer accurate.

A temporary slowdown occurred following a devastating fabrication incident involving the lead engineer, Clarence, several tools, and a decision that “felt right at the time.”

UPDATE: Clarence is fine.
G.N.O.M.E. medical staff repaired him successfully.

  • New mechanical thumbs installed
  • Charge duration: ~30 minutes of active use
  • Recharge time: ~45 minutes
  • Overall work production: Most likely improved
