Break one block of an ore vein and the entire vein breaks with it. Players choose how it turns on, admins choose which blocks it works on.

This mod is for Hytale Update 5.

Overview

TaleMiner is a vein mining plugin built for Hytale servers:

• Mine a whole vein at once: Hit one block and the full connected vein comes with it.
• Every player decides how it works: Always on, only while crouching, or off.
• Simple in game menu: Players pick which blocks should vein mine, admins set up the list.
  
• Fair tool and durability rules: Limit it to the tools you want, and durability is spent like normal mining.
• Plays well with your other plugins: Optional support for TalePickup (auto collect drops) and SimpleEnchantments (enchants apply to the whole vein).

Key Features

Vein Mining

• Break one block of a vein and the whole connected vein breaks too
• Clear a full ore deposit in a single swing instead of one block at a time
• Server owners can set a maximum vein size so it stays balanced
• Works the same across every world on your server

Player Modes

• Always: vein mining is always on
• Hold: vein mining only works while the player is crouching
• Off: normal single block breaking
• Each player sets their own mode, and it is saved automatically
• Admins choose the default mode for new players

In Game Block Menu

• Open the menu with /taleminer, /veinminer or /vein and everything is point and click
• Pick your mode at the top: Always, Hold, or Off
• Turn vein mining on or off for each block, active blocks show a checkmark
• Search bar to quickly find the block you want
• Admins decide which blocks appear in the menu, with a name and icon for each

Tool and Durability Rules

• Limit vein mining to the tools you choose
• Durability is spent fairly, the same as if the player mined each block by hand
• No surprise tool damage, and it respects the Unbreaking enchantment

Works with TalePickup

• With TalePickup installed, every block you vein mine goes straight into your inventory
• The whole vein is collected for you, nothing is left on the ground
• Auto smelt and item filters from TalePickup work on vein drops too
• Fully optional, TaleMiner also works on its own

Works with SimpleEnchantments

• Fortune: bonus drops on every block of the vein, not just the first one
• Smelting: ores come out already smelted into bars across the whole vein
• Silk Touch: blocks drop in their original form across the whole vein
• Unbreaking: protects your tool across the whole vein, just like normal mining
• Fully optional, the player's real pickaxe enchantments are used automatically

• Every player sees the plugin in their own game language
• Translation files can be edited freely, and new lines from updates are added for you automatically

Commands and Permissions

Player Commands

Permission: taleminer.use

• /taleminer = Open the TaleMiner menu. (aliases: /vein, /veinminer, /tm)

Admin Commands

Permission: taleminer.admin

• /taleminer reload = Reload the config and language files

Installation

1. Drop TaleMiner.jar into your server's mods folder.
2. Optional: add TalePickup for automatic pickup.
3. Start the server to create config.yml and the lang files.
4. Set up your block list, modes, tools and durability in config.yml, you can use default config.
5. Run /taleminer reload to apply changes without restarting.
