Description

Small tubes. Big shortcuts.
Build a clear passenger-tube network, walk beneath an open intake and get whisked away in first person. Slipstream Transit brings compact tubes, branching routes and colourful stations to your Hytale test world.
Experimental preview — actively in development. Before a more stable 1.0.0, minor version upgrades may introduce breaking changes to recipes, balance, behaviour or saved data. Back up your world and player data before upgrading.
Take the tube
- Automatic suction: walk under an open, warning-striped intake. No interaction key is needed to board.
- Head-first travel: smoothly shrink into a one-block tube while the first-person camera follows the journey.
- Build your route: use straights, corners, verticals, rising and descending elbows, plus three-way splitters.
- Choose a stop: name your stations; when several destinations are reachable, choose one as you enter.
- Mix six colours: Teal, Coral, Gold, Blue, Violet and White pipes connect through matching ports.
- Craft at the Pipe Workbench: browse the colour tabs and build your tube network.
- Stay on course: movement is locked during travel. Normal size, appearance and controls return afterward.
Getting started
- Use a separate test world and keep a complete backup. Save and exit before installing or updating.
- Put SlipstreamTransit-0.1.0-dev.1.jar in that save’s mods/ folder and enable SlipstreamTransit:SlipstreamTransit for the world. The JAR includes its resource pack.
- Craft the Pipe Workbench using the standard Workbench, then use its colour tabs to craft pipes and suckers.
- Place and name two suckers, connect their ports with pipes, and keep a clear full-size landing and floor two blocks beneath each sucker.
- Stand beneath an intake. A single destination boards automatically; a branching route offers a destination chooser. Press F on a sucker to rename it. Deliberate crouching or /stabort returns you safely.
See the first-route guide and recipes for placement and crafting details.
Compatibility and preview limits
This preview supports one passenger per world, 128 registered parts per world and 64 parts per journey. Routes must remain in loaded chunks and use one builder per connected route. Other players may ride, but a real second-client multiplayer session remains unverified. Survival ingredient deduction and final human listening/comfort review also remain pending.
Automatic boarding, branching selection, held movement during travel, full-size arrival, custom appearance and normal save/reload have been exercised in the native game. Screenshots are native captures from the C7 gameplay preview, cropped to the feature or UI; the showcase copy exposes the tubes so their connections are visible. The banner and logo are promotional artwork.
