What's new

JujutsuHytale Beta 0.3.1

This update introduces a new sleep-based Cursed Energy recovery system, a new low-grade Cursed Spirit, and improvements to the first-time Skill Tree initialization.

Sleep & Cursed Energy Recovery

  • Added 2× Cursed Energy recovery while sleeping.
  • Sleep recovery is calculated from the player's current natural Cursed Energy regeneration instead of using a fixed recovery rate.
  • Partial sleep restores Cursed Energy proportionally to the amount of the full sleep window completed.
  • Sleeping through at least 80% of the full sleep window grants the Well Rested status effect.

Well Rested

  • Increases natural Cursed Energy regeneration by 35%.

  • Uses the same conditions as normal Cursed Energy regeneration:

    • the player must be alive;
    • the player must not have taken damage during the last 1.5 seconds.
  • Does not increase the 2× sleep recovery bonus.

  • Does not affect Cursed Energy restored by other current or future recovery sources.

  • Lasts until the beginning of the next sleep/night window.

  • Added a visible positive Well Rested status effect.

The base natural Cursed Energy regeneration itself has not been changed.

New Low-Grade Cursed Spirit — Flycatcher

Added the Flycatcher, a peaceful flying Cursed Spirit.

  • Flycatchers do not attack or directly damage players.
  • They naturally appear in small groups and can merge into larger flocks.
  • A single flock can grow up to 100 Flycatchers.
  • Nearby flocks can detect and merge with each other, gradually forming larger concentrations of Cursed Spirits.

When a flock reaches 10 or more Flycatchers, it can cause visual interference for nearby:

  • players without Cursed Energy;
  • sorcerers whose innate maximum Cursed Energy is 180 or lower.

The effect can be triggered within approximately 64 blocks of the edge of the flock.

The visual noise acts as a warning that a large amount of Cursed Energy is concentrated nearby — an area where stronger Cursed Spirits may also be more likely to gather.

Skill Tree Initialization Optimization

Optimized the first-time opening of the Skill Tree through:

  • Alt
  • /skilltree

The initial process that assigns the player their Cursed Energy capacity and Cursed Energy type has been optimized, reducing unnecessary UI and initialization load.
