HyPhone

A real mobile phone in Hytale: messages, group chats, voice calls and a social feed, all inside a screen that opens in the corner of your HUD.

HyPhone gives every player their own phone line, with a number, an address book and an inbox. It is not a chat window in disguise: it is a phone with apps, wallpapers, notifications that peek from the corner while you play, and real voice calls between players. There are two handsets — a full smartphone and a basic keypad phone — and both share the same line, so your number, your contacts and your conversations follow you even if you switch devices.

Two handsets

• Smartphone — full screen with a dock, eight apps, 12 wallpapers and 6 themes for HySocial.
• Basic phone — the classic monochrome green LCD, a keypad menu and only the essentials: messages, groups, contacts and calls.
• Both are craftable items at the workbench: the basic one is far cheaper (4 iron bars + 2 copper) than the modern one (12 iron bars + 6 gold + 4 blue crystals).
• Carrying both? The modern one wins. Carrying only the basic one? Even the notifications that peek from the corner switch to its LCD look.

Messages

• One-to-one conversations with history, unread counts and a sound alert.
• Group chats of up to 8 people, named, and creatable from either handset.
• The creator is in charge: they can rename the group, remove members, promote more admins and disband it. Admins can invite and remove; the creator cannot be touched.
• If the creator leaves, the oldest admin inherits control — a group is never left without anyone to run it.

Voice calls

• Real calls between players using the game's own voice system: you come through clearly even from opposite ends of the map.
• Ringtone, dial tone and a hang-up sound.
• Call log: incoming, outgoing and missed.

HySocial

• A built-in social network with posts, likes, comments and reposts.
• Anonymous posts for anyone who would rather not show their face.
• Everyone deletes their own posts; an admin can delete anything.
• 6 colour themes for the post cards, picked from settings.

Incognito mode

• Hides your identity on calls and on messages: the other end just sees "Número oculto" (hidden number).
• Leave it on in settings, or switch it on for a single call.
• The person on the other end never finds out who it was, but the server console logs it so moderators can act.
• Anything arriving hidden can be rejected automatically.

Contacts

• You cannot call or message someone who is not in your address book: numbers are earned, not guessed.
• Three ways to get a number: type it in if someone gave it to you, scan the players nearby, or look it up in the public directory (everyone chooses whether they are listed).
• A–Z sorted list with the letter on the right-hand edge, on both handsets.
• Blocks, favourites and a do-not-disturb mode.

Getting started

1. Drop the jar into the server's mods folder and restart.
2. Craft a phone (basic or modern), or ask an admin for one.
3. Right-click with the phone in hand — or type /movil abrir.
4. Your number is created the first time you open the phone. Check it with /movil numero.
5. Add someone from Contacts → Add, and you can message or call them.

The two looks above are just the ones that ship with it. If you are running something with its own identity — a specific era, palette or lore — the handsets can be built to match it: chassis, icons, wallpapers, sounds, extra screens, or wiring the phone into systems you already run.

Notes

• No dependencies. HyPhone needs no other mod.
• No bundled audio. Ringtones reuse base-game sounds: the jar ships zero .ogg files, so it stays small.
• The interface is in Spanish. Item names are translated to Spanish and English; the rest of the UI text is Spanish only.
• Admin features sit behind the hyphone.admin permission.
• Everything is stored as JSON in the mod's data folder (accounts.json, chats/, groups.json, feed.json, calls.json), written atomically: a half-finished server shutdown will not wipe your directory.
• No telemetry. The mod never connects to the internet or sends data anywhere.
