Description

Discord Patreon Wiki

Redeem codes that trigger server commands, plus a referral system for player-driven growth — both run entirely in-game, nothing lives in a config file that has to be edited by hand and reloaded.

Redeem Codes

A player types /redeem and gets a small window to enter a code. Behind each code sits a list of server commands that fire the moment it's redeemed successfully, so a code isn't limited to handing out one fixed item — it can grant currency, ranks, whole item kits, run a broadcast, anything a command on the server can already do. When creating a code, an admin can cap it at a total number of uses across all players, cap how many times any single player can redeem it, and set an expiry date after which it simply stops working. Because use counts are tracked per player rather than just as a global tally, a "once per account" code holds up even without a total-use cap — one player can't redeem it twice just because the code itself has no ceiling.

Referrals

Beyond one-off codes, AverionRedeem includes a referral system built for growing a server through its existing players. Each player gets a referral identity, and when someone new joins using it and redeems, both sides benefit: the referrer and the new player can each be handed their own separate list of commands, and each can additionally receive a direct chat message with the other player's name dropped in automatically. To keep it from being abused, referral redemptions can be capped per code and per player — once per player is the default — and account-age restrictions (a minimum and/or maximum age in hours) make it harder to farm the reward with a pile of throwaway accounts created just to refer themselves.

Milestones

On top of the immediate referral reward, milestones let a referrer earn something extra once they cross a set number of successful referrals — five, twenty-five, a hundred, whatever an admin sets — so a player who consistently brings in new people keeps getting recognized for it rather than the payout being identical for the first and hundredth referral.

Admin Panel

/redeem admin covers the whole thing without touching a file. Codes are created, edited and deleted here, each with its own use limits and expiry date set through the form. The referral system gets its own configuration page for the reward commands, the two chat messages, the usage limits and the account-age restrictions. And because it's easy to lose track of who redeemed what once a server has been running a while, there's a log view listing past code redemptions and referrals for whenever something needs to be double-checked.
