Spell Balance reworks spell damage, durations, and mechanics to create a more tactical and balanced combat experience in Hogwarts Legacy.

Description

Spell Balance – A More Tactical Magic System

This mod rebalances spells in Hogwarts Legacy, making combat more strategic. Some spells have been nerfed to prevent overuse, while others have been tweaked to encourage better spell variety and tactical decision-making.

Key Features:

✔ Damage Adjustments – Several spells now deal less damage, requiring more tactical use.✔ Spell Durations Tweaked – Some control and curse effects are now shorter to avoid overpowered crowd control.✔ Noise Levels Reworked – Spells now generate realistic noise levels based on their effects.✔ Cooldown Adjustments – Some abilities now have cooldowns for better pacing in combat.✔ Fully Compatible – Works with all difficulty mods and does not affect enemy strength.

Spell Adjustments:

Damage Spells:

Confringo: -20% damage, added projectile gravity, slower speed.

Bombarda: -20% damage, increased noise impact.

Incendio: -20% damage, increased range from 500 to 800, 25% faster channeling.

Diffindo: -20% damage, large impact noise.

Expelliarmus: -60% damage, +50% projectile speed, reduced physics impact.

Curse Spells:

Crucio: x2 damage, duration reduced from 20s to 6s.

Imperio: Duration increased from 30s to 45s, no effect on XL/XXL enemies.

Avada Kedavra: 20% range reduction, huge impact noise.

Force Spells:

Accio: Faster casting, reduced duration from 0.5s to 0.4s.

Descendo: +36% base damage.

Flippendo & Depulso: Increased noise impact.

Control Spells:

Transformation: Duration reduced from 10s to 4s.

Levioso: Duration reduced from 8s to 3s.

Glacius: Duration reduced from 10s to 4.5s.

Arresto Momentum: Duration reduced from 15s to 5.5s.

Basic Abilities:

Protego: Faster channeling (0.01s → 0.005s).

Alohomora: Now produces a small noise upon casting.

Disillusionment: Cooldown added (12s), duration set to 30s.

Petrificus Totalus: Now has a 15s cooldown (untested).

Important Notes:

⚠ Ancient Magic damage and cooldowns cannot be adjusted.⚠ Revelio duration and thrown object damage remain unchanged.

This mod does not change enemy difficulty but indirectly increases challenge by reducing spell power and duration, making combat more strategic and rewarding.
