What's new

0.9.7

New features:

  • Custom talent window. Use the optional built-in talent window to plan your current character, browse talent trees for other classes, switch between specializations, and compare builds.
  • GW2_UI compatibility. zTalentPlanner now works directly inside GW2_UI's talent window, including planning highlights and a dedicated "Planner" button. The planner and talent-tree windows also match the GW2_UI style.
  • ElvUI skin. When ElvUI's Blizzard-frame skin is enabled, zTalentPlanner's windows automatically adopt the ElvUI look.

Improvements:

  • Next-step highlight. The marker for the next talent to learn now uses the golden animated proc glow (the one action bars show on a spell proc) around the talent icon. When the next step is in a talent tree you're not currently viewing, its tab now also shows a bouncing arrow in addition to the pulsing highlight.

0.9.6.2

Bug fixes:

  • Inspect-copy learning order fixed. Copying another player's build from the inspect window now puts it into a valid learning order (same fix as for imported builds), instead of ignoring prerequisites in the same tier.

0.9.6.1

New features:

  • Level-up milestones. Reaching a level that unlocks a new capability now shows a milestone toast alongside the level-up display. Version- and class-aware:
    • Riding/flying: normal and fast riding (level 30/60 on TBC, 40/60 on Era), flying (level 70, TBC only), shown with the actual riding-skill icon. Warlocks and paladins see their class mount's icon on the riding toast.
    • Level 40: dual specialization and armor proficiency (mail/plate).
    • Class unlocks:
      • Mage: teleports and portals per tier.
      • Warlock: demon summoning quests (voidwalker at 10, succubus at 20, felhunter at 30; the imp is available before level 10 and is not shown), inferno (quest at 50), and the class mount quests (felsteed at 30 on TBC / 40 on Era, dreadsteed at 60).
      • Paladin: class mount quests (warhorse at 30 on TBC / 40 on Era, charger at 60), shown in addition to the generic riding toast.
      • Rogue: pick lock (trained at 16) and poisons (quest at 20).
      • Warrior: defensive stance (quest at 10) and berserker stance (quest at 30).
      • Hunter: aspect of the cheetah (trained at 20) and feign death (trained at 30).
      • Shaman: elemental totem quests (fire at 10, water at 20, air at 30; the earth totem is available before level 10 and is not shown).
      • Druid: shapeshift forms (bear/aquatic/cat via quest at 10/16/20, travel and dire bear trained at 30/40, flight form trained at 68, swift flight form via quest at 70 in TBC).
    • The toast distinguishes unlocked features (lock badge, "milestone reached"), abilities you still have to train (book badge, "now learnable"), and quest-gated unlocks like the warlock demons (book badge, "quest available").

0.9.6

Bug fixes:

  • Group role no longer overrides manual changes. The plan's role is now applied only when you actually join a group (solo → group). Changing your role by hand within a group is preserved and no longer forced back on every roster update or after a /reload.
  • Import learning order fixed. Imported builds are now put into a valid learning order even when a talent requires another talent in the same tier (e.g. Paladin Protection tier 7), instead of being rejected as invalid.
  • Error messages moved to chat. Errors now print into the chat frame (in red) instead of the center-screen UI error area, so long messages (like import errors with level and reason) stay fully readable. The error sound is kept.
