ZenKit-2.9.3.zip
What's new
ZenKit 2.9.3
More nameplate performance improvements, steadier stacking in big pulls, and fixes for choosing your marker, chat links and the spellbook.
Restart the game fully once after updating. This version adds new art, and a /reload does not pick it up.
Nameplates
- Further reduced the work needed to draw enemy plates in a pull, including health bars, shields, heals and cast updates. The rounded look stays the same.
- Blizzard's hidden names and aggro effects no longer keep animating underneath our plates.
- Stacking now uses a fixed area around the name, health bar and cast bar. Auras appearing and disappearing no longer change that area, helping prevent the tall ladders and jumping plates in large packs.
- Aura and crowd control displays are prepared ahead and reused between plates, reducing work when mobs appear.
- Choose between our enemy plates and Blizzard's plates in our look directly under Nameplates, Enemy, Plates.
Markers
- Manual mode has a new Your marker row on the Markers page. Pick a marker once: ZenKit remembers it for your next groups and asks for it when it is available.
- The picker opens as a ready check starts, when you arrive in a dungeon without your marker, or when someone else claims the same marker. It shows who has it. Automatic prompts appear out of combat, before the key starts.
- If you already have your chosen marker and nobody else claims it, the ready check leaves the picker closed.
- Use /zk marker to open the picker before the key, out of combat. Outside a group in Manual mode, it opens the Markers settings instead.
- Choosing a marker outside a dungeon group no longer leaves later choices stuck. The blacklist's tooltips now make clear that blocking a marker applies to the whole party.
Chat
- Item links and other chat links can be clicked again.
- Fixed repeated Lua errors when hovering chat lines in a dungeon or another instance.
Game windows
- Fixed Lua errors when opening the spellbook in combat after using our styled window tabs. Tabs keep their normal clicks, hover and pressed appearance.
- Dark mode handles protected text colors without causing Lua errors.
Diagnostics
- Added a built-in nameplate performance test: /zk plates bench. It compares the parts of the plates on screen; /zk plates bench auras can be armed before a pull and starts in the next fight. Use /zk plates bench stop to stop it.
- Event recordings keep the previous two recordings alongside the new one, making pulls easier to compare.
- Fixed a stray box before some names in the CVar list.
