Description
X-Perl Revival
==============
X-Perl Revival restores and modernizes one of the most iconic unit frame addons in World of Warcraft history.
Originally created as X-Perl UnitFrames, the addon quickly became one of the most widely used UI replacements in early World of Warcraft. It introduced cleaner player, target, party, and raid frames with far more information and customization than the default Blizzard interface offered at the time.
After the original project stopped receiving updates, the addon continued as Z-Perl, which preserved the functionality and kept it working through later expansions.
X-Perl Revival continues that lineage by bringing the addon forward for modern WoW clients while preserving the classic layout and design that made X-Perl so popular.
The goal of this project is simple: keep the familiar X-Perl experience alive while ensuring long-term compatibility and stability across modern World of Warcraft versions.

Design Philosophy
-----------------
X-Perl Revival is designed to preserve the original X-Perl look and layout rather than redesigning it. Many modern unit frame addons dramatically change the interface, but this project focuses on maintaining the classic style players remember while updating the code for modern WoW clients.
The goal is stability, compatibility, and long-term maintenance while keeping the addon lightweight and familiar.
