Description

WoWeuCN Plus adds Simplified Chinese quest text and Chinese tooltip lines to World of Warcraft: Forever. It is an independent community adaptation of qqytqqyt's Quest Translator and Tooltips Translator. The original author does not maintain or endorse it.

Made for Forever 1.60.1.70532. Please report problems and missing translations on Bitbucket Issues.

Installation

• Install with the CurseForge app, or copy all six WoWeuCN_Forever* folders from the download into Interface/AddOns.
• WoWeuCN_Forever is the addon itself. WoWeuCN_Forever_Quests, _Items, _Spells, _Effects and _Units hold its translation data. Keep them all enabled; the settings decide what is loaded.
• Disable the original WoWeuCN Quest and Tooltips translators to avoid duplicate translations.

Features

• Quest translation — Chinese title, objectives, description, progress and completion text in the quest windows, and Chinese quest names in the quest log, objective tracker and NPC dialogs. Optional bilingual mode keeps the original text under the translation.
• Tooltip translation — Chinese item, spell and NPC names under the original tooltip, with item flavour text, Use/Equip effects and spell descriptions. Numbers come from the client's own tooltip and are never guessed. Colours follow the original addon: item names in their quality colour, effects in green, flavour text in gold. NPC tooltips also show the NPC's title.
• Loads only what you use — translation data is split into on-demand modules. Content you switch off is not loaded after the next /reload.
• One settings window — open with /wcn or from the game's AddOns settings. Master switch, separate quest and tooltip switches, names-only mode, font size (12–20), window scale (80%–120%) and a movable window. Changes save immediately.
• Missing-ID recorder (optional) — records IDs without a translation locally, with a copy button, so gaps can be reported.
• Bundled Chinese font.

What changed compared with the original addons

• Quest and tooltip translation in one addon with a redesigned settings window.
• Built for Forever: translation data is tied to the Forever client build and locale, and switches itself off on a mismatched client instead of showing wrong text.
• Item and spell text comes from the Forever client's own zhCN fields. NPC names use them first, then qqytqqyt's Classic 1.15.9.1 NPC names. Quest text uses qqytqqyt's Classic 1.15.9.1 translations, with the Forever client's own Chinese quest text taking priority. Retail translations are not used.

Data coverage (Forever 1.60.1.70532)

Quest text: 4,461 records from the Classic 1.15.9.1 translations and 1,397 from the Forever client's quest cache, which takes priority where both exist. 873 Forever-new quests are covered, 853 of them with Chinese descriptions.

Known limits

• Quest text and NPC names from the Classic baseline may not match what Forever has changed.
• Progress/reward dialogue is missing for many quests, including new ones.
• NPCs new in Forever may be missing. NPC names inside quest objectives are mostly not translated.
• Effect and description lines whose numbers cannot be matched to the client's own text stay in English.
• When a translation is missing, the original text is left as is. Nothing is machine-translated.

Credits and license

Original addons by qqytqqyt: Quest Translator - Chinese and Tooltips Translator - Chinese. Their Classic 1.15.9.1 quest translations and NPC names are used as baselines. The original quest addon also credits Platine and WoWpoPolsku-Quests. Adaptation maintained by 加拿大雨姐.

Code is GPLv2. The bundled Chinese font is Adobe Source font software under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Game text is Blizzard content. Forever client fields are exported through Wago, a third-party tool. Not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment or the original author.

• 按需载入：翻译数据拆分为按需载入的模块，关闭的内容在下次 /reload 后不再载入。
• 统一设置：输入 /wcn 打开，可分别开关各模块，切换仅显示名称，调整字号与窗口缩放。

当前数据：任务 5,336 条（Classic 1.15.9.1 基础译文 4,461 条，Forever 客户端缓存 1,397 条，后者优先），物品名 17,350 个，法术名 26,715 个，法术说明 4,059 条，法术与物品效果文本 9,489 组，NPC 名称 11,473 个（Forever 181 个，Classic 1.15.9.1 基础库 11,292 个）。

部分任务与 NPC 名称可能与 Forever 的改动不一致；不少任务缺少进行中/奖励对话；Forever 新增 NPC 可能缺失。缺少译文时保留原文，不使用机器翻译，不使用 Retail 译文。
