WoW Forever Diary 0.2.3
What's new
0.2.3
0.2.1 and 0.2.2 never made it onto CurseForge, so this release brings all three: a new look, a page for your tasks, shorter ways around the book, and a parchment style that is easier to read.
English
New look: Parchment
- A fourth style next to leather and gold, modern and strong contrast: light paper from the game's own quest frames, with torn edges. Choose it in the settings under Appearance.
- Old pages get stains in their margins: blood, sweat and tears. They never lie under the writing.
- The companion window follows the style. On parchment its writing is crisp, without the dark shadow that smudged the ink, and the bars sit below the words.
- The letter in the time capsule is a light sheet with a fine edge and visible lines.
Tasks
- A new page "Tasks" shows the tasks of the day, the task of the week and, new, a task of the month (four weeks). Long tasks are no longer cut off.
- It sits in the group "Goals and honour", with counters for perfect days, your longest run and the weeks and months you finished.
Finding your way
- Point at the tab of a group and a list of its parts opens beside it. One click and you're there.
- "/wfd bestiary", "/wfd honour", "/wfd ledger", "/wfd settings" and so on open the book at that part, "/wfd 12" at day 12. "/wfd help" lists them.
- The Today page has a "Continue reading" link to where you stopped last time, even after logging in again.
- A line at the top of every page shows where you are, for example "Hunt and loot > Bestiary". The steps before are links.
- Bookmarks have names ("Diary, day 9") and there are twelve of them. When they're all in use you get a note instead of losing the oldest.
- A search hit for a creature, catch or person turns the book to its page and lays the card on top.
- The people have a register of letters (A to Z) at the top.
Settings
- The settings have a tab of their own and four pages: General, Handling, Keys and Appearance, with a row on top that leads between them.
- With bigger writing nothing runs off the bottom of a page any more, and the explanations are larger.
- Announcing milestones in the chat is off by default.
Smaller things
- A day starts with its figures in one line (level, kills, quests, gold, deaths, kilometres), and "+ note" has a quill.
- The quest book keeps given-up quests in their own section at the end.
- When something new comes into the diary while you're reading, a small note offers to refresh the page, instead of the page moving under you.
- On the maps, graves get a skull and a "?" explains zoom and moving.
- "Destination of the day" sets a waypoint on the map when it's a town, a region or a dungeon.
- No writing is smaller than 11 points any more.
- When the game can't find one of the diary's icons, a page uses the book icon instead of stopping halfway.
- Several German texts reworded.
Deutsch
