Version 1.2.1 — Bug Fix

WoW: Forever two-part name support Character names on WoW: Forever use a "Firstname Lastname" format with a space. Typing a name with a space in the New Whisper dialog was silently stripping the space, resulting in a merged name that could not be resolved. The addon now detects the client at startup using the interface version and preserves the space on WoW: Forever. Midnight (Retail) behavior is unchanged — spaces are still stripped since Midnight names are single words only. The "New Whisper" dialog hint text also reflects the correct format for each client.

New Features

Typing Indicators See a live "Name is typing…" notice in the composer when the other person is composing a whisper (character whispers only; requires both players to have WhisperDeck installed).

Clickable URLs URLs in whispers are now highlighted and clickable — click to open a copy dialog so you can paste the link into a browser.

Raid Target Icons Type {star}, {skull}, {moon}, {cross}, or any of the eight standard raid icons in a whisper and they will render inline as the actual icon.

Message Forwarding Right-click any message and choose "Forward to…" to share it to your party, raid, or guild channel.

WhisperDeck Block List Block a player within WhisperDeck (separate from the game's Ignore system) to silently suppress their incoming whispers without affecting anything else. When blocking you can add an optional reason note and the block is stamped with the date and time it was set. A new Blocked Players page in Settings lists every blocked player with their name, block date, and reason, with an Unblock button per entry.

Send Tell Intercept Right-clicking a player name in chat and choosing Whisper now opens WhisperDeck instead of the default chat box. Can be turned off in Settings → General.

Auto-Invite by Keyword Group leaders and assistants can enable keyword auto-invites (e.g. "inv", "invite", "+"). Incoming whispers that exactly match a keyword will trigger an automatic group invite. Configurable in Settings → Combat.

Sound Channel Choose which audio channel plays the whisper notification sound: Master, SFX, or Dialog. Settings → Notifications.

Cross-Game Presence When a Battle.net friend is playing Diablo IV, Overwatch 2, Hearthstone, or another Battle.net title, the chat header now shows which game they're in instead of just "Online on Battle.net."

Multi-Alt Attribution Messages you sent while logged in on a different character now show [AltName] next to the timestamp, so you can tell at a glance which alt a conversation came from.

AFK / DND Status When you whisper someone who is AFK or DND, their auto-reply appears inline in the conversation as a system notice instead of appearing only in the default chat. The pill bar now shows a · AFK or · DND suffix when your own character is flagged.

Text-to-Speech When WoW's built-in Text-to-Speech option is enabled (Interface → Accessibility), WhisperDeck will speak incoming whispers aloud using the voice and destination settings already configured in the game client.

Keyboard and Search Ctrl+K focuses the conversation search box from anywhere in the window. Pressing Up in the composer saves your current draft before stepping back through history; pressing Down past the most recent entry restores it.

Fixes

• Searching the conversation list by name now also matches the character name for Battle.net friends (previously only matched the BattleTag / account name).

Changes

• Default message history lowered from 500 to 200 messages per conversation.
• Default conversation limit lowered from 200 to 100 stored conversations.
• Existing saved data is not affected by the limit changes.
