Description

Jabe's TBC Hunter WeaveLine

Shot timing and melee weave tracking for TBC hunters.

WeaveLine answers one question continuously: what should I be doing right now, and how long have I got? It's a reading aid, not automation — every input is still yours.

The bar

A state display that fills and drains. It doesn't scroll, so it can't drift out of sync with your real shots.

State Meaning
spell name Casting, with its real hasted duration
name CLIP +n This cast will delay your auto by n ms — shown while you're casting, not after
MOVE Free to move, and a swing will land while you're in there
DOWNTIME Free, but no swing lands. Nothing to collect
AUTO SHOT Auto animating. Moving now delays the shot
AUTO LATE +n Shot is overdue and waiting on you

It doubles as a general cast bar — herbing, mining, mounting all show with their name and duration.

Also

  • Melee swing timer underneath, green when Raptor Strike is up
  • Multi-Shot, Arcane Shot and Kill Command icons, each separately movable. Kill Command glows and pulses when castable
  • Range finder with a distance readout and travel time to melee
  • Closing strip — two fills converging on the centre; the gap is your distance, closed means melee
  • Border lights when Kill Command is castable, or shows range, or off
  • Learns your actual rhythm rather than assuming a theoretical weapon speed

Options

A resizable window with its own settings: 10 skins, any font your other addons have registered, per-element sizes and colours, and free-position dragging for every piece. /wl options, or Esc → Options → AddOns.

Timing model

Ported from Bouk's Hunter Castbar. Cast times are divided by haste, and haste includes quiver haste — which GetRangedHaste() omits entirely, and without which every derived timing is 10–15% out.

Known limitations

  • The range finder can't resolve inside 5–7 yards. No probe exists in that band and no API reports movement direction, so it's exact at the boundaries and dead reckoning between them.
  • Range probes need the items in your bags — run /wl range to see which are working.
  • Pushback isn't modelled.

Credits

Bouk (rotations, Hunter Castbar) for the timing model. diziet559 (rotationtools) for settling what Multi and Arcane are actually for. The Classic & TBC Hunter Discord. The Predictive Melee Weave aura for the range probe technique.
