WeaponFlip contains materials under separate terms. The MIT license is not a blanket license for every file in this archive.

CODE AND DOCUMENTATION — MIT

The LICENSE file contains the unmodified MIT license text, reproduced below. It applies to WeaponFlip's own Lua code, XML bindings, TOC, documentation and authored code/data definitions, including motion, palette and layout definitions. In the development source, it also applies to WeaponFlip's own build tools, tests and documentation. It does not license unrelated projects in the same workspace.

The exclusions below take precedence when identifying the material covered by MIT. Third-party quotations, references or embedded material do not become NS-owned merely by appearing in documentation. Source references and attribution do not transfer third-party rights.

ORIGINAL ICON AND EFFECT ARTWORK — SEPARATE TERMS

The original Crimson Pivot icon and original WeaponFlip effect artwork are excluded from MIT. They use ASSET-LICENSE.md, reproduced below, which permits their distribution with WeaponFlip while reserving standalone reuse.

This includes Media/CrimsonPivot.tga, Media/CrimsonPivot64.tga, original artwork in Media/Effects/, and corresponding original source images, editable art and artwork exports in the development materials. Technical manifest metadata remains documentation; its references to artwork do not change the artwork's terms.

SOUNDS — EXCLUDED; EXISTING TREATMENT UNCHANGED

All audio recordings and sound assets, including everything under Media/Sounds/ and corresponding audio masters or candidate recordings, are excluded from these new MIT and artwork grants. Existing sound provenance, attribution and any applicable separate terms remain unchanged. This notice does not relicense the sounds or grant new rights in them. WeaponFlip's own sound-handling code and synthesis scripts are code covered by MIT; that does not relicense the existing recordings they reference or produce.

BUNDLED LIBRARIES — EXISTING TERMS

Everything under Libs/ remains under its existing terms, declarations and notices. See Libs/NOTICE.md, Libs/ACE3-LICENSE.txt, the bundled library source headers and Libs/LibDataBroker-README.textile. Preserve those notices. No library is relicensed as NS-owned code.

DISTRIBUTION NOTICES AND IDENTITY

Keep this scope notice with distributions of WeaponFlip so recipients can identify the applicable terms. Distributions containing original icon or effect artwork must also retain its asset license and the MIT notice for included code. This scope notice does not add restrictions to the MIT-covered code: MIT-only reuse remains governed by LICENSE.

No endorsement by NS or right to represent a modified version as the official NS release is granted. This is not an assertion that every generated image or other element has independently enforceable copyright; grants and reservations apply only to rights held by NS.

COVERED ARTWORK

These terms cover the original Crimson Pivot icon and original WeaponFlip effect artwork identified in LICENSE-SCOPE.md, including their source artwork and exported texture versions. They do not cover addon code, sounds, bundled libraries or third-party material.

PERMISSION WITH WEAPONFLIP

NS grants permission to use, reproduce and distribute the covered artwork as part of WeaponFlip, including modified versions or forks of the WeaponFlip addon. The artwork must remain bundled with and used as part of that addon, rather than supplied as an independent artwork library, asset pack or unrelated product.

You may make technical format, packing or resolution conversions necessary to use the artwork in WeaponFlip, preserving its recognizable design. This permission does not grant general artistic adaptation or standalone reuse rights.

Keep this notice and LICENSE-SCOPE.md with distributions containing the artwork, and retain the NS attribution. Clearly identify modified addon distributions as modified; do not imply they are an official NS release or endorsed by NS.

You may display the artwork in screenshots, recordings, reviews, tutorials and project listings depicting or describing WeaponFlip. This includes using its icon to identify a WeaponFlip listing. These permissions do not require separate approval from NS.

RESERVED USES

Separate permission from NS is required to distribute the artwork on its own, sell or sublicense it as standalone assets, use it in another addon or unrelated product, or create artistic derivatives beyond the technical conversions permitted above. These reservations do not restrict any code rights granted under MIT. No rights in third-party material are granted.
