Description
Warbound Gear Router (WBGR) helps manage Warbound gear across your characters by comparing item levels and recommending where each item is most useful.
WBGR is designed for players with multiple characters who accumulate Warbound gear and want an easier way to decide what to equip, what to send to another character, and what can be stored or disposed of.
Features
- Routes Warbound gear across your character roster
- Recommends upgrades using item level, not stat weights or simulations
- Supports Current Spec, All Specs, and Custom Spec routing
- Handles armor, jewelry, trinkets, weapons, shields, off-hands, and multi-piece weapon setups
- Gear Finder shows your best upgrades and other useful gear
- Gear Search helps locate gear stored across characters
- Tracks gear in bags, personal banks, and the Warband bank
- Mail Router helps prepare gear for transfer between characters
- Tracks gear waiting to be retrieved from mail
- Supports routing priorities and configurable item-level thresholds
- Includes special handling for weapon setups such as 1H + Off-hand, 1H + Shield, Dual 1H, and Fury Dual 2H
- Optional Bagnon gear overlays and Gear Finder item-location highlighting
Requirements
WBGR uses DataStore to access saved cross-character information. The required DataStore modules should be installed alongside WBGR through your addon manager.
Players who already use Altoholic will generally already have the necessary DataStore components installed.
WBGR does not require Altoholic itself.
Getting Started
Log into the characters you want WBGR to track so their information is available through DataStore.
Open WBGR using the minimap button or:
/wbgr
Use the Roster to configure character priorities and spec behavior, and Gear Finder to view recommended upgrades and gear that should be sent elsewhere.
Important
WBGR evaluates upgrades primarily by item level. It does not simulate your character, calculate stat weights, or attempt to determine whether a lower-item-level item is better because of secondary stats, special effects, or encounter-specific considerations.
WBGR is intended as an inventory and alt-management tool, not a replacement for class-specific gearing tools or simulations.
