Warband Tally

A compact overview of your weekly quests, dailies and Great Vault progress across all your characters.

Warband Tally

Which of your characters still need their weekly quests, dailies or Great Vault? Warband Tally answers that at a glance: every character of your account in one compact window, sorted into your own groups, with a tick or a cross for each quest you choose to track.

Features

  • Tile overview – one tile per group (e.g. "Main Team", "Bank & Crafters"), all groups visible at once. Adjustable grid (tiles per row) and window size. Characters you don't want to see can be hidden.
  • Track any quest you like – add quests by their quest ID directly in game. Each quest becomes a column with its own short label.
    • Reset type per quest: weekly, daily or never (one-time quests).
    • Several IDs per column – e.g. a weekly meta quest with rotating variants: the column counts as done as soon as any of them is done.
    • Minimum level – characters below it simply show an empty field and don't hold their group back.
    • Optional quests – "nice to have" quests are shown on the right, more subtle, and don't count for the group.
    • Hide quests you don't need right now without deleting them.
  • Clear states – done, ready to turn in, in progress (with objectives in the tooltip), not done yet, not logged in since the reset.
  • Group status at a glance – a tile turns green when every character has finished all required quests, and yellow when only turning in is left.
  • Great Vault – 3 × 3 small bars per character (raid, dungeon, world). The tooltip lists every slot with its difficulty and item level.
    • On reset day the tile shows the best item level waiting for you, until you collect it.
    • Optionally make the vault part of the group goal, e.g. "at least 3 slots per week".
  • Legend with details – hover a quest in the legend to see how many characters are done, in progress, below the level requirement, and so on.
  • Your current character is highlighted, and the window shows the time until the next weekly and daily reset.
  • Minimap button – hover for a quick look, click to keep the window open. Also available in the addon compartment.
  • English (UK and US) and German – follows your game language and can be changed in the options, as can the date and time format.
  • Compact header – everything is in one gear menu: Groups, Quests, Vault and Options.

Getting started

  1. Log in once with each character. WoW only lets an addon read the character you are playing, so every character saves its own progress when it logs in (and whenever quests change).
  2. Add your quests: open the gear menu and choose Quests, enter the quest ID (you can find it on Wowhead in the URL of the quest), a name and a short label. Several IDs can be separated by commas.
  3. Sort your characters: choose Groups in the gear menu to create groups, move characters between them or hide them. Until then all characters are listed in one tile.
  4. Great Vault: choose Vault to show or hide the vault column, mark it as optional or set a weekly goal.
  5. Options: language, date and time format, grid, window size and the minimap button.

Good to know

  • All data is stored account-wide in the addon's SavedVariables – nothing is sent anywhere.
  • A character's progress is only as fresh as its last login. After a reset, characters you haven't logged in yet show a grey "–".
  • Hidden "tracking" quests (e.g. for rare kills) only know done / not done, so they never show "in progress".
  • The Great Vault data and its item levels are read when the character logs in. Characters below level 90 have no vault.

Feedback, bug reports and ideas are very welcome!
