VC Core

VC Core is the shared runtime and GUI library used by the VC addon family for WoW Classic Era, Season of Discovery, and Hardcore.

Dependency addon: VC Core does not add a standalone gameplay feature. Install it alongside any VC addon that lists it as a required dependency.

What it provides

• Saved-variable initialization, schema handling, defaults, and table utilities
• Safe addon lifecycle handling after saved variables are available
• Event registration, delayed callbacks, and keyed debounce
• English locale fallback and client-flavor detection
• Duration, timestamp, class-color, and class-icon formatting
• Reusable widget pools and movable-frame position storage
• Shared slash-command registration
• LibDataBroker and minimap-button integration
• Matrix tooltips and reusable cell-detail helpers
• Shared design tokens, fonts, textures, windows, controls, lists, and input widgets
• An interactive /vcui style guide for the shared interface

VC Core also includes compatible copies of LibStub, CallbackHandler, LibDataBroker, LibDBIcon, and LibQTip. Newer complete copies loaded by another addon can safely take precedence at runtime.

For players

There is nothing to configure. Keep VC Core enabled whenever you use a VC addon that depends on it.
