Description
Underlight Angler UI
Underlight Angler UI is a replacement UI for the original Underlight Angler artifact interface.
The Underlight Angler is still obtainable but its artifact powers can still be used, using scripts but not original UI. Accessing and managing the old artifact tree is no longer avalible in the current version of World of Warcraft, but can be managed by scripts, which this addon provides.
Underlight Angler UI provides a new interface designed specifically around the fishing artifact.
Use your wowhead and youtube sources to get to the point where you need to apply the Artifact Powers.

The addon helps guide you through obtaining the Underlight Angler by checking your progress through the important requirements:

- Luminous Pearl questline
- Underlight Angler obtained
The checklist updates based on your character's current progress and provides instructions for what to do next.
🐟 Underlight Angler Artifact Tree
Once you have the Underlight Angler, the addon provides a replacement for the original artifact-tree interface.
The tree displays the Underlight Angler traits, including:
- Undercurrent
- Bloodfishing
- Cursed Queenfish Angling
- Surface Tension
- Underlight Blessing
- Highmountain Salmon Angling
- Better Luck Next Time
- Way of the Flounder
- Mossgill Perch Angling
- Stormray Angling
- Runescale Koi Angling
- Black Barracuda Angling
Each node displays its current and maximum rank.
Hover over a trait to see additional information including:
- Current rank
- Maximum rank
- Next-rank Artifact Power cost
- Prerequisite status
✨ Spend Artifact Power
Available traits can be selected directly from the replacement artifact tree.
Before spending Artifact Power, the addon displays a confirmation prompt showing the selected trait and the reported Artifact Power requirement.
The addon uses World of Warcraft's artifact APIs for the actual purchase rather than attempting to modify artifact data itself.
🗺️ Luminous Pearl Guidance
The acquisition UI also provides guidance for the Luminous Pearl portion of the Underlight Angler questline.
After progressing through the Luminous Pearl questline, you need to locate Khadgar inside The Violet Citadel, rather than directing you toward the unrelated yellow quest marker.
🔱 Original Artifact Window Integration
When the Underlight Angler artifact interface is available, the addon adds an:
Open Underlight Angler Tree
button so you can jump directly into the replacement artifact tree.

There is a a button inside the original UI but to test it out you can type:
/angler to check out the UI (You need to be on the orb for it to work as intended when you are accually at the orb)
Why This Addon?
Underlight Angler is one of World of Warcraft's unusual legacy artifacts.
Although it originated as part of Legion's artifact system, players may still want the fishing abilities associated with it. The original artifact interface is no longer particularly convenient for managing the fishing artifact in the modern game.
Underlight Angler UI aims to make that old system usable again without trying to reinvent the Underlight Angler itself.
It provides a focused interface for:
Getting the fishing artifact → checking progression → viewing the artifact tree → seeing ranks and requirements → spending Artifact Power.
Important
Underlight Angler UI does not grant Artifact Power, automatically unlock traits, or bypass World of Warcraft's normal artifact requirements.
Trait availability, prerequisites, ranks, and purchases remain controlled by the game.
At the end a TIP: If you have done this before on ANOTHER char.
1. Just level to 100 at Dalaran (from 1 to 100 is appx 200 fish) and Buy arcane lure from the mana orbs that follow the fishing.
2 After getting to 100. Find the nearest school of fish. The Orb can be fished up with Arcane Lure
3. When turning in the quest to acually be able to see the orb in the Dalaran Fountain after Fishing Frenzy quest. Khadgar is inside The Violet Citadel, not where its showd on the map. If you dont see Brann Bronbeared at the orb.. Relog and he will come to the orb in the fountain.
At this point, Please remember to acually EQUIP the Underlight rod.
4. To get AP dont go around the world.. Just use you Arcane Lure on Queenfish Schools in azuna. Wait for Brooch to be fished up. Use it and you will see Ghostly Queenfish Schools in the area (they dont dissapear for 5 minutes while brooch is active) . And Simply fish up ghostly appx 20 for each 5 min and pray for another brooch to come with the fishing.
5. To get the waterwalking/swimming tree, you need appx 2650 AP, to fill up -5% threat while fishing you need around 6000AP
6. If you have done all this and still cant walk on water or swim, Speak to Mahra Treebender, the Profession Equipment Specialist. She is located in major hubs like Dornogal (at coordinates 58, 55), Valdrakken (Artisan's Market), or Silvermoon City
