Ultimate Combat

The shared base for all Ultimate class modules, for World of Warcraft: Forever.

Ultimate Combat holds everything every class needs: floating combat text, a voice announcer, weapon skill bars, a level-up banner, a minimap button and one settings window for all of it. Class-specific extras come as small class modules that plug into it. Install the base once, then add the modules you want.

What's inside

Combat text

Floating damage and healing numbers, for what you deal and what you take.

• Scroll direction up or down, optional half-circle spread
• Adjustable text size
• Critical hits stand out
• Names the spell behind a hit where the game lets the addon tell
• Test button to preview it

Announcer

Voice calls and big splash text for the moments that matter.

• Fight start, kill streaks, quick kills, finishing blows, victory, defeat and wipes
• Male or female voice, or Auto
• Choose the sound channel (Master, Sound effects, Dialog)
• Three splash fonts and an adjustable text size
• Switch each event on or off on its own

Weapon skill bars

Weapon skill and defense progress bars with Alliance and Horde artwork.

Level-up banner

A banner when you level up, with the stats of that level: time played, kills, best streak, plus extras your class module adds (for example Executes for warriors). Faction artwork for Alliance and Horde.

Minimap button

One button to open the settings, lock or unlock frames and see what's running.

One settings window

• A card for Ultimate Combat and one for every installed class module, each with its features as tabs
• Resizable and movable, and it adapts to the length of every translation
• Move it and Test buttons next to each feature
• Characters of other classes see every installed module too, with a note saying which class it is for

Settings per character

Every character has its own settings. To set up a new character, open General → Copy settings, pick another character and apply. You get a warning before anything is overwritten.

12 languages

English, Deutsch, Français, Español (ES and MX), Italiano, Português (BR), Русский, 한국어, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Català. The language follows the game client and can be changed in the Languages tab.

Class modules

Class modules are separate downloads that need Ultimate Combat. They only do something on characters of their class. Ultimate Combat itself works for every class, with or without a module.

More modules will follow. If a module is installed without Ultimate Combat, it shows a window that tells you where to download the base.

Installation

1. Install Ultimate Combat.
2. Install the class modules you want (optional).
3. Log in, then click the minimap button or type /uc.

Good to know

• Made for World of Warcraft: Forever (Interface 16001).
• The game restricts what addons can read from the combat log, so combat text can't always be 100% accurate about which spell caused a hit.
