Description
TrueParse
A contribution score for the whole group, not just a damage meter.
TrueParse grades every player from 0 to 100 on what they actually contributed to the fight, so a tank or healer can top the board as easily as a DPS. After each pull it gives a letter grade, explains the score in plain language, and tells you the one thing that would raise it most.
Most meters answer "who did the most damage?" TrueParse answers "who played their role well, and how do I get better?"
What it does
- Role-aware scoring. Damage for DPS, healing for healers, active mitigation uptime for tanks, enabled damage and Prescience upkeep for Augmentation Evokers. You are never penalized for lacking an ability your spec doesn't have.
- Grounded in Warcraft Logs. Your throughput is scored against real ranked parses for your spec and encounter, and kill speed against the field of ranked kills. No arbitrary targets.
- It coaches, it doesn't just count. After a fight it names your biggest opportunity: the specific mechanic you keep eating ("you took Exploding Iron Star 3 times, only 41% of players get hit by it"), too much downtime, a mistimed cooldown, or where your rotation trails the top parses.
- It explains deaths. Each death is read against crawled encounter data: an avoidable hit, a tankbuster to pre-mitigate, a slow chip-down, or an unavoidable one-shot.
- Post-fight scorecards. One row per player, sorted by score. Click any row for a full breakdown of every point earned and lost.
- Narrated chat reports. Share a plain-language debrief of a kill, wipe, or whole run in the channel you choose. Constructive, and it never singles out a player by name.
- Awards, career stats, and trends. Superlatives for the standouts, a running grade per character, and which way your play is heading.
Retail and Classic
TrueParse runs on both modern retail and Mists of Pandaria Classic. Retail blocks addons from reading the combat log, so TrueParse combines Blizzard's damage-meter data with a lightweight peer system: each player's own client reports the facts only it can see (defensives used, consumables, cooldown timing) and shares them with the group. On Classic, the combat log provides all of it directly.
Getting started
Install it and play. Cards appear after each fight on their own. Type /tp for options, or /tp mock to load a demo raid and tour every screen without pulling a boss.
