TrinketTracker – Patch Notes

What's New

1. Active buff timer on trinket icons

Addresses: "Perhaps make it show the aura duration like the setting page with the passive trinkets"

Show active buff timer (instead of CD) When a trinket's use ability grants a buff, the cooldown sweep on its icon can now display the remaining buff duration instead of the cooldown. This gives you the same at-a-glance timer you already had on passive trinkets, but for your active use trinkets. → Settings tab → Show active buff timer (instead of CD)

Show a border during active buff An optional golden border now appears around the trinket icon for the entire duration of its active buff — regardless of whether the buff timer option above is enabled. Both options are fully independent. → Settings tab → Show a border during active buff

2. Next trinket queued icon — for both active use and passive procs

Addresses: "make it able to queue trinkets and show in the corner of the equipped frame which trinket is queued for next"

A small preview icon now appears in the corner of a trinket's frame whenever a swap is about to happen — showing you exactly which trinket is coming in next, before it actually swaps.

This works in two situations:

During an active use cooldown After you use a trinket, the preview icon appears on its frame for as long as the cooldown is running (or while its buff is still active), showing which trinket will be equipped once the swap triggers. → Settings tab → Show next trinket icon during cooldown

On a passive proc (new) When a passive trinket procs, the same preview icon now appears on its frame during the proc buff and through the internal cooldown that follows — so you always know what's coming in next. → Passive tab → Show next trinket icon on passive proc (Requires "Trigger auto-swap on passive proc" to be enabled)

3. Passive trinket auto-swap — fully functional + new controls

Addresses: "doesn't seem it will swap any passive trinkets. For example with the serpent coil braid it doesn't swap to the TLC trinket"

Trigger auto-swap on passive proc (existing option, now fixed) When a passive trinket's proc buff ends, the auto-swap now correctly triggers and equips the next trinket in your priority list — exactly like it does after you manually use an active trinket.

Block re-equip (Absolute Priority) after passive swap (new) After a passive-triggered swap, you can now prevent the trinket that just swapped out from immediately coming back in via Absolute Priority. Instead of bouncing back within a second, it waits until the passive's internal cooldown has fully expired before returning to the slot automatically. → Passive tab → Block re-equip (Absolute Priority) after passive swap (Requires "Trigger auto-swap on passive proc" to be enabled)

4. The preview icon is now a guarantee

Addresses: The queued icon showing one trinket, but a different trinket actually being equipped on swap.

Previously, the preview icon in the corner of the frame was purely cosmetic — the swap engine made its own independent decision about which trinket to equip and which slot to put it in. This caused two frustrating scenarios: the wrong trinket being equipped (when two trinkets had the same priority value), and the right trinket ending up in the wrong slot (when the other slot's cooldown expired first).

The preview icon is now a binding commitment. The moment it appears on a slot's frame, the swap engine is locked in to equip that exact trinket into that exact slot. What you see is what you get.

This only applies when the preview icon option is enabled. With it off, the swap engine picks freely using the best available priority — no constraints.

5. Passive trinket — swap now waits for the proc buff to fully expire

Addresses: Passive trinket swapping out while its proc buff was still active.

The addon's buff detection was only designed for trinkets with an active use button — it had no way to detect when a passive proc buff was still running. As a result, a passive trinket could get swapped out mid-buff, cutting the proc short.

The swap engine now correctly recognises when a passive proc is still active and holds the swap until the buff has fully ended on its own.
