Triage — Healer Frames for World of Warcraft: Forever
Click-cast party and raid frames for WoW: Forever — heal prediction, a class-aware dispel display, and a one-handed setup, all built inside Forever's display-only addon rules.
What Triage is
Triage is a Forever-native healer frame addon. The classic healer frames don't function on Forever, and the replacements are early works-in-progress — so instead of porting old addons around the new rules, Triage is designed inside them from the start.
- Click-casting on party and raid frames — any mouse button, modifier, or wheel combo wired to a spell, item, macro, target, or menu. The click casts; you decide. Nothing in Triage casts, targets, or dispels on its own.
- One-handed setup — a first-run preset that puts everything on the mouse with no keyboard modifiers at all, plus larger frames and text. Made because players asked for it.
- Class-aware dispel display — debuffs your class can actually remove get a colored border and a frame glow. It highlights; the dispel is your action.
- Heal prediction and absorb overlays — shown, not computed-on, exactly as Forever's API rules require.
- Own-HoT timer estimates — derived from your own casts, never by reading hidden aura state.
- Profiles that can't be lost — one-click export/import strings for every setup (built against the beta's SavedVariables quirks).
- Built-in diagnostics —
/triage spikereports what your client build actually supports, so bug reports come with evidence.
What Triage will never do
- No rotation advice, no automated dispels or targeting — Blizzard's combat philosophy and ours agree: addons show, players play.
- No WeakAuras-style user programmability (Forever's API excludes it by design).
- No premium version, no ads, no donation popups. MIT licensed, code fully visible.
Requirements & status
- WoW: Forever (interface 16001). Not compatible with Classic Era, Cata Classic, or Retail.
- v0.1.0-beta: first public build, written during the beta's final week. It has not yet run in the live game — the Oct 21 stress test is the first live-fire check. Expect rapid fixes; report issues with your
/triage spikeoutput pasted in. - Priest, Paladin, Druid, and Shaman get pre-seeded click-cast spells; other classes get safe target/menu bindings and the binding editor.
Quick start
- Unzip into your Forever AddOns folder (see the README in the download; Blizzard will confirm the launch folder name for Nov 4).
- Log in — the setup wizard appears automatically.
- Pick Dungeon, Raid, or One-handed — done. Tune in
/triage.

FAQ
Does it work with the beta's addon-settings bug? Saved data is treated as rebuildable: defaults always fill gaps, and export strings mean no setup work can ever be lost. Two /triage spike runs (before and after /reload) tell you whether your build keeps settings.
Why no damage meter? Forever ships a built-in meter, and the combat log is closed to addons — any meter claiming full combat-log support on Forever is selling you something impossible.
How is this different from the other healer frame addons? They're real and we wish them well. Triage's differentiators: accessibility-first design (one-handed play, full keyboard config, plain-language options), augment mode (click-casting on Blizzard's own frames), exportable profiles, and built-in diagnostics. If you try it and prefer them, tell us why — that's useful data.
