Trailmark
Make every journey count. Trailmark tracks estimated on-foot steps, distance and walking time, with a tiny persistent counter and a trail on your normal WoW world map.
New in 1.0.3
- Today's trail by default. The map follows the date across midnight; use the date button to browse older days or all recorded days.
- Three trail filters: All trails, Corpse runs only, and Normal walking only. Combine them with the date filter, including when viewing a saved walk.
- Corpse-run tracking. Eligible movement while dead or in spirit form counts toward your normal steps, distance and moving time. Corpse trails use violet dashes.
- Separate corpse-run stats. See the current/latest run and today, session and lifetime totals in Stats & badges → Corpse runs, or /trailmark corpse.
- Clear filter tooltips and empty states in English and French.
More features
- A compact counter sized to sit beside the minimap coordinates by default. Expand it for daily, session and lifetime totals.
- Your walking trail on the M-key map, with date filters and a latest-location marker. Trails follow map zoom and panning.
- All walking controls inside the world map: start and finish named walks, browse saved walks, revisit recorded zones, and choose dots or visit density.
- Appearance controls, clearer buttons, readable native fonts and improved window layering.
- Daily goals, lifetime badges, top zones, a 14-day chart and four weeks of daily steps and walking-time history.
Getting started
Install with CurseForge, or extract AzerothAfoot into Interface/AddOns. Keep that folder name when upgrading so existing saved data stays connected.
Press M to see today's trail. Walk tools opens the controls; enter an optional name and choose Start walk, then Finish walk to save it. Saved walks opens your archive. Recent history returns to today's rolling trail. The Show/Hide trail button remembers your preference.
Click the trail filter to cycle All trails → Corpse runs only → Normal walking only → All trails. Date and trail-type filters reset to Today and All trails after a UI reload.
Click the compact footprints to open the map; right-click the counter to expand it. Use Stats & badges for goals and history, or Settings for stride, distance units and daily goal. Drag the counter to move it. Use /trailmark resetposition to restore its default minimap placement. Legacy /afoot and /aasteps commands remain supported.
Your data and options
Steps are estimates from on-foot movement and stride, not exact footfall counts. Mounts, swimming, flight and other excluded movement do not count. Unknown or restricted movement data pauses counting. Existing totals and custom stride settings are preserved.
The rolling trail retains up to 6,000 observed locations. Save up to 20 named walks; the archive never automatically deletes one. Old totals cannot reconstruct routes or walking time. Return-to-start and end waypoints are available on supported maps outside combat. Map opening and trail drawing are restricted during combat.
Corpse-run details are recorded from version 1.0.1 onward; older activity cannot be reconstructed. Older unmarked locations stay visible in normal mode and are hidden in corpse-only mode. Upgrading preserves your existing steps, settings, saved walks and routes.
Group/guild sharing can report badge and weekly-step summaries; sharing and badge announcements have separate controls in Stats & badges. Existing OFF choices are respected. Routes stay local. There is no global leaderboard.
Compatibility
For WoW Forever 1.60.1, build 70235, interface 16001. English and French UI included. Works independently with no mandatory shared addon.
Automated checks cover English/French behavior, saved-data preservation, UI bounds and map projection. These checks do not establish every real-client rendering or protected-action scenario.
