Important: Due to changes in how chat works, its functions have been simplified to make it compatible with modern WoW.


Traductor is a bilingual chat translation AddOn for World of Warcraft, specifically designed to assist Spanish-speaking players who do not speak English. Its primary function is to translate visible chat messages from English to Latin American Spanish and vice versa, enabling real-time communication across language barriers within the game.

The AddOn operates through two main functions:

• Listen: Translates incoming messages from English to Spanish by reading the visible chat tab labeled “Traductor.” This function can be toggled on or off.

• Speak: Translates outgoing messages from Spanish to English. When the player clicks “Send,” the translated message is dispatched to the currently selected chat channel. This function can also be toggled on or off.

🧠 Interface and Behavior

• The AddOn includes a floating translation panel that can be moved by pressing ALT and clicking with any mouse button. Its position is saved across game reloads and after closing the game.

• The panel’s size and font can be adjusted, and these preferences persist across sessions and character changes.

• The launcher button allows quick access to the panel and can be repositioned freely.

🧬 Independence from Chat Configuration

Traductor functions independently of the user’s chat configuration. It does not rely on specific chat frame settings or channels. Instead, it reads directly from the visible chat tab to perform translations from English to Spanish, and it sends translated messages from Spanish to English using the selected channel when “Send” is clicked.

🧿 Translation Intelligence

The Speak function has been carefully designed to simulate intelligent communication in English. It uses internal logic to distinguish questions (identified by a “?” at the end of the sentence) and aims to produce coherent, natural English responses. The AddOn operates entirely offline and relies on an embedded artificial intelligence system within its code, supported by an extensive EN↔ES dictionary.

Traductor is ideal for Latin American players—especially those from Mexico—who participate in multilingual servers and seek clarity and inclusion in chat-based interactions. It is particularly useful for bilingual guilds, roleplayers, and communities that value linguistic transparency.

Traductor es un complemento de traducción de chat bilingüe para World of Warcraft, diseñado específicamente para ayudar a jugadores hispanohablantes que no dominan el inglés. Su función principal es traducir los mensajes visibles del chat del inglés al español latinoamericano y viceversa, permitiendo una comunicación en tiempo real dentro del juego.

El complemento opera mediante dos funciones principales:

• Escuchar: Traduce los mensajes entrantes del inglés al español leyendo directamente la pestaña visible del chat llamada “Traductor.” Esta función puede activarse o desactivarse.

• Hablar: Traduce los mensajes salientes del español al inglés. Al hacer clic en “Enviar,” el mensaje traducido se envía al canal de chat actualmente seleccionado. Esta función también puede activarse o desactivarse.

🧠 Interfaz y comportamiento

• El complemento incluye un panel flotante de traducción que puede moverse presionando ALT y haciendo clic con cualquier botón del mouse. Su posición se guarda incluso después de recargar la interfaz o cerrar el juego.

• El tamaño del panel y el tipo de letra pueden ajustarse, y estas preferencias se conservan entre sesiones y personajes.

La función Hablar ha sido diseñada cuidadosamente para simular una comunicación inteligente en inglés. Utiliza lógica interna para distinguir preguntas (identificadas por un signo de “?” al final de la frase) y busca generar respuestas coherentes y naturales en inglés. El complemento funciona completamente offline y depende de un sistema de inteligencia artificial integrado en su código, respaldado por una base extensa de diccionario EN↔ES.

Traductor está pensado especialmente para jugadores de América Latina—en particular de México—que participan en servidores multilingües y buscan claridad e inclusión en las interacciones por chat. Es especialmente útil para hermandades bilingües, roleros y comunidades que valoran la transparencia lingüística.
