3.3.4 — Real Role Presets, a Rebuilt Class Reminder, Role Guides, a Live Unit Frame Preview & More
Presets — Three Role Archetypes That Are Now Actually Different
- Changed — The Tank, Healer and DPS presets used to write only three or four settings each, so picking a role changed a nameplate width and a couple of toggles and left the rest of the interface identical. Each now applies a coherent, role-specific setup across party and raid frames, nameplates, target auras, resources, cooldowns and castbars.
- New — Tank: wider threat-colored plates kept readable across the whole pull, bigger enemy buffs, a thicker plate castbar for interrupts, numeric threat, party interrupt and battle-res cooldowns, personal defensives on the frames and a health warning at 40% (HoT tracking dropped).
- New — Healer: larger, more clickable party and raid frames, more and bigger HoT icons, a thicker dispel border, defensive/absorb tracking, heal prediction, health shown as a deficit, stronger out-of-range fading, a mana warning at 30%, and dimmed nameplates so they stop competing with the frames.
- New — DPS: taller resource bars with a low-resource threshold, proc glow with range checking, target and nameplate auras filtered to your own casts for readable DoT tracking, enemy defensive tracking, the GCD spark on, and compacted raid frames with HoTs off.
- Fixed — Switching from one preset to another left the previous one's settings behind (tank → healer left you healing with tank-mode nameplates). Applying a preset now produces the same result regardless of what was applied before it.
- Changed — Minimal now also switches off the per-frame trackers (HoTs, defensives, debuffs, heal prediction, enemy buffs) — the expensive part of the group frames — so it actually delivers the lighter footprint it advertises.
Dashboard — Presets as Cards
- Changed — "Quick configuration" was a row of buttons with a name and an unrelated color. Presets are now cards: role icon, the archetype's own color, a tagline and three bullets of what it actually changes, with the full description on hover.
- New — The currently applied preset is marked Active and lit in its own color, and Recommended is marked as such — nothing on that panel used to say which preset was running. Descriptions and highlights are localized in all 6 languages.
Config — Every Setting Says Which Role It Is For
- New — Settings sections can now carry role badges (tank / healer / damage) as small colored icons in the header, with a tooltip naming the roles. Tagged so far: HoTs, dispels, absorbs, heal prediction and resurrection; defensive, interrupt and battle-res cooldowns; tank mode; nameplate castbars, auras and enemy buffs; the GCD spark; interrupt feedback; the personal health bar; and target threat text.
- New — A role focus bar at the top of the sidebar (All / Tank / Healer / DPS): choosing one keeps the settings that matter to that role at full brightness and dims the rest. It dims rather than hides — so you can still find a setting whose location you already know — and untagged sections always stay full brightness. The chosen focus is saved and restored.
Roles — Three Guide Pages, Every Setting One Click Away
- New — A new Roles category with a guide page for tanking, healing and damage. Each page states what actually matters for that role and where it lives, instead of leaving you to infer it from a settings tree organized by module.
- New — Every point on a page has a button that opens the panel holding that setting and highlights it — the actual navigation, not a description of where to look. The page header also applies the role's preset and switches the sidebar's role focus.
Config Search — Results Behind Nested Tabs
- Fixed — Searching for something that lives behind a panel's second row of tabs (raid frame HoTs, resource bar colors, castbar unit tabs) opened the right category but landed on its first tab. Deep links now open the exact tab the result lives in.
- Fixed — Most of the interface — everything behind a second or third sub-tab — was never in the search index at all and simply couldn't be found. The index now covers every tab, so all settings are searchable. Indexing runs in the background instead of freezing the client on the first characters typed.
- Fixed — Panels that reuse one layout across sibling tabs (every castbar unit, every unit frame) collapsed into a single search entry; each is now indexed separately.
Class Reminder — From a Line of Text to a Clickable Row of Icons
- Changed — The reminder was a pulsing line of text in the middle of the screen naming what was missing. It's now a row of icons, one per missing buff, form, stance or aura, each with the spell's own art and an optional label.
- New — Out of combat, each icon is a clickable button: left-click casts the missing spell directly, middle-click dismisses that one reminder until the next loading screen. Nothing is clickable in combat (a combat row is served by plain icons that only display), so the row never lies about what pressing it does.
- New — Configurable icon size, spacing, row scale, opacity, label and glow (none / pixel / autocast / action button / proc) with its own color. The row is now placed with the mover like every other movable element instead of via position sliders; an existing offset is carried over automatically.
- New — The options panel opens on a live preview of the row, drawn from your current settings, so every slider moves the thing you're looking at. The preview is also a navigation surface — click an icon to jump to its toggle, its label to the label options, the space around it to the sizing sliders. The supported-classes list is now a color-coded grid of per-buff toggles instead of a paragraph per class.
Class Reminder — Reminders That Could Never Be Satisfied
- Fixed — Druid forms and stances were matched by their position on the stance bar, which shifts with your talents — so on many builds the reminder reported a missing form while you were standing in it, or stayed silent while out of it. Every form is now matched by spell, and a form you haven't learned is no longer reported as missing.
- Fixed — Evoker's Blessing of the Bronze tracked a single buff ID, but the spell applies a different one per receiving class — so twelve of thirteen classes were permanently told they were missing it. All IDs are tracked now. The same class of false-positive is fixed for Mark of the Wild, Arcane Intellect, Moonkin Form and Shadowform talent variants.
- Fixed — Warriors had one generic "Stance" entry on every spec whether or not they'd taken a stance talent; there are now three (Battle, Berserker, Defensive), each gated to the right spec. Paladin auras were wrongly looked up as shapeshift forms and are now checked as buffs (out of combat only).
Class Reminder — Much Wider Coverage
- New — Shaman weapon imbues (Flametongue, Windfury, Earthliving, Tidecaller's Guard, Thunderstrike Ward) and Lightning / Water / Earth Shield are tracked, with Elemental Orbit correctly changing how many shields are expected. Shield reminders name the category and resolve to the right spell for your spec.
- New — Lightsmith rites (a single reminder for the two mutually-exclusive Rites) and Rogue poisons (one reminder each for Lethal and Non-Lethal, counting how many slots are filled) are tracked, surviving any talent build without maintaining per-build lists.
- New — Also remind when a group member is missing a buff (off by default): a raid buff you're carrying now raises its reminder when someone in range doesn't have it, counting only members whose spec actually wants the stat (out of combat only).
Class Reminder — Where It Shows & Performance
- New — A "Show reminders" setting (everywhere / dungeons and raids only / group only), hidden in cities and inns by default. The row is also silenced while dead, in a vehicle or flying — any state where nothing on it can be pressed.
- Changed — The module no longer runs a 1-second polling ticker; it's fully event-driven now, and also reacts to talent and spellbook changes so a newly-available form becomes trackable immediately.
Unit Frames — The Settings Preview Is Now the Real Thing
- Changed — The preview used to draw its own fake bars from entirely separate code, which had drifted from your actual frames. Bar texture, fonts, borders, the info bar, offsets, the aura grid, enemy buffs and the threat glow/text in the preview are now produced by the same code as your real frames, so what you see is what you get.
- New — When the unit exists (your target, focus, pet) the preview shows real data tagged LIVE, falling back to simulated values tagged SIM otherwise, and a Fit / 1:1 switch lets you check frames at their true pixel size. On by default.
- Fixed — Changing the status bar texture, or the aura/enemy-buff duration text, did nothing until a /reload — on real frames, not just the preview. Both apply live now.
Mythic+ — Teleports You Own Were Reported as Not Learned
- Fixed — The M+ hub and scoreboard tested dungeon teleports with an API that doesn't recognize achievement-granted spells, so teleports you'd actually earned showed greyed out, read "not available" in the tooltip, and printed "not learned" when clicked without casting anything. All of them are now detected correctly, everywhere the panel uses them.
Mythic+ Scoreboard — The Group's Keystones, On Demand
- New — /tm keys opens the scoreboard on your live group: every member with their name, class, Mythic+ score and the keystone they're holding. It works outside an instance — where you actually decide which key to run. The board previously only appeared on its own at the end of a run.
- New — Each row now carries a role icon next to the spec icon, and rows are ordered stably (by keystone level, then score, then name) instead of shuffling on each opening.
- Fixed — Your own spec was missing from your row when the board was opened from town; it's now read directly.
- Note — /tm score is unchanged and still opens the sample board for positioning; /tm keys is the real one.
Chat History — One Switch Became a Real Panel
- New — The chat history had a single on/off control; it now has its own section: how long messages are kept (1h to no limit), how many lines (10–500), the replay delay, a session marker, the per-channel filter and a clear-everything button. Several of these settings existed in the database since the feature shipped but had never been reachable.
- Fixed — The replay ran during the chat skin's load, burying every addon load message and Lua error under a page of restored lines at each login. It's deferred now (2s by default, adjustable), with a session marker printed after the restored lines so old and live chat are unambiguous.
- Changed — Turning the feature off now clears what's already stored, instead of silently keeping every saved line. The per-channel filter also applies on write (an unchecked channel isn't recorded), and the line/age limits are enforced on replay so lowering them takes effect at the next login. History is stored account-wide and shared by every character.
Cooldown Studio — The Button Now Says What Went Wrong
- Fixed — "Open Cooldown Studio" could do nothing and blame the least likely cause — telling you to install something that was sitting right there, merely unticked in the addon list. Each way the load can fail now gets its own explanation and fix (disabled, out of date, wrong folder location, missing, etc.), and the blocking reason is shown on the card before you even click.
- New — The common case repairs itself: if the Studio is just disabled, clicking enables it and retries immediately (or asks for a single /reload). The Studio also now shows up in the addon list properly branded with the TomoMod icon and version, instead of looking like a foreign addon.
Contacts — The Friends Window Skin Is Retired
- Changed — The Contacts skin added in 3.2.5 has been removed. Blizzard rebuilds the friends window in 12.1, and the skin worked by reaching for dozens of that window's pieces by name — any of which the rebuild is free to move or rename, leaving a half-stripped window on patch day for the people running it. Retiring it avoids that.
- Note — If you had the skin off (its default), nothing changes. If you had it on, the friends window returns to Blizzard's own look with nothing left behind. The Contacts button added to the chat sidebar in 3.2.4 stays — it was never part of the skin.
Diagnostics — Export Window & Delete Confirmation
- Changed — The export window asked you to copy the report but also showed the tracker address (only reachable by copying it, which would discard the report). It now switches between a Report view and a Link view and says which is loaded, prints the tracker address in plain readable text, and notes that the report is saved and can be reopened with /tmdiag tracker.
- Fixed — The auto-fill that types the confirmation word into the delete popup relied on a field Blizzard removed in 11.2; it now uses the supported accessor, so it keeps working.
