TokenCouncil

Fair, transparent loot for your raid, without the drama. Hand every raider a fixed number of tokens before the pull. They spend them on the gear they really want, everyone who spent one gets a roll, and your loot council makes the final call. You stay in control; the addon does the bookkeeping.

Why use TokenCouncil?

Every raid leader knows the problems: loot council feels opaque, pure /roll ignores who actually needs the item, DKP spreadsheets take hours to maintain, and one lucky player walks away with three pieces while someone else goes home empty-handed.

TokenCouncil combines the best of each system:

• Everyone has the same budget. You set the tokens before the raid (say 3 each). Boss kills don't add any, so there's nothing to track, farm or hoard across weeks.
• Tokens show real intent. A token is a real cost. Raiders only put one on gear that truly matters to them, so you immediately see who wants what, and how badly.
• The council still decides. Among everyone who spent a token, your loot council votes on who gets it. Upgrades, BiS pieces and roles still count.
• Rolls keep it fair. Everyone who spends a token gets an automatic 1-100 roll. With no votes or a tie, the higher roll wins, so there are no endless discussions.
• Nothing is wasted. If nobody spends a token, you start a free roll with one click. It costs nobody anything.
• Transparent by default. Everyone sees the drops, who used tokens, the rolls and the vote tallies live. Who voted for whom stays anonymous.
• No spreadsheets. Balances, history and an audit log of every token change are kept for you.

How it works

1. Before the raid. Open the Master Looter panel (minimap button or /tkc ml), enter Tokens each and click Set tokens & start. That's everyone's budget for the night. Players who join later get the same amount automatically.
2. Loot drops. There's no loot table to set up: epic and better equipment goes up by itself (lower qualities are optional in Settings). Every raider gets a popup with the item and two buttons: Use token or Pass.
3. The timer runs. Raiders can add a note for the council ("BiS", "4-set") and take their token back until the timer ends.
4. The timer ends. Everyone who still has a token on the item spends it and gets an automatic roll. One token: hand it straight to that player. Several tokens: the council votes; most votes wins and the roll breaks ties. No tokens: start a free roll, where everyone gets Roll and Pass buttons, it costs nothing, and the highest roll wins.
5. Hand it out. One click. The winner is announced in raid chat and the player holding the item is asked to trade it (Retail). In Classic it's given through master loot.

What you get as raid leader

• One control panel. Every drop, its timer, who used tokens, rolls, votes and a suggested winner, with Hand out ready to click.
• Full token control. Set everyone at once, adjust single players, or keep last week's balances for a raid split over several nights.
• Pick your council. Tick members in the Council tab; they get their own voting window automatically.
• Flexible rules. Timer length, whether tokens can be taken back, which item qualities go up, self-voting, visible voter names, raid chat announcements.
• Readiness check. When you start, the addon lists anyone missing the addon or on another version (/tkc check).
• Crash-proof. If you /reload, disconnect or crash mid-raid, the raid hands the session back to you. No lost votes, no double charges.
• Leader-only control. Only the raid leader can open the Master Looter panel, start sessions or change tokens.

What your raiders see

• A popup on every drop: the item, their tokens left, Use token / Pass.
• A Loot Board with every drop, who used tokens, rolls, live anonymous tallies and everyone's balance.
• A minimap button to open any window.
• Council members get a voting window with each candidate's roll, note and currently equipped items.

Good to know

• Everyone in the raid needs the addon, ideally the same version.
• Works in Retail (Midnight) and the Classic versions listed in the TOC.
• Respects Blizzard's addon message limits, including the Midnight boss-fight message block (messages wait until the fight ends).
