Description
Time Is Money
A clean, native-feeling live farm & gold tracker. Answers one question in real time: "How good is this farm right now?" — the anti-TSM.
Time Is Money is a focused, single-character farming companion. It values everything you gather and loot, tracks your real gold/hour, remembers where you earn the most, helps you clear your bags at a vendor, and finds what's worth farming on the Auction House — all in one tidy, four-tab window that looks like it belongs in WoW. No spreadsheets. No overkill. It does not require TSM or Auctionator.
Why you'll like it
- Real-time Gold/hour for the run you're on, net of repairs — so you actually know if a route is worth your time.
- Self-contained. Time Is Money scans the Auction House itself for live prices and supply. TSM/Auctionator are optional bonuses, never required.
- Feels native. A compact, six-theme window plus a tiny detachable timer you can keep on screen while you farm.
- Honest numbers. Your live estimate never gets mixed up with the actual gold that hits your wallet.
The four tabs
⚔️ Grind — your live run
A run timer, Gold/hour, "This run" value, and a per-source breakdown (skinning, mining, herbalism, cloth, fishing, coin, drops). Repairs are tracked and netted against the run — pro-rated to the wear this run caused, so an old bill doesn't tank your numbers, and guild/free repairs are ignored. Gold/hour smoothing is automatic (fast in the open world, steadier in bursty dungeons). Detach the Floating Timer to keep it on screen while you play.
💰 Gold — what you actually banked
Realized earnings only: coin looted + vendor sales + Auction House mail, shown for Today / Last 7 days / All-time, with a stacked daily chart and your best run this week. Toggle between this character and your whole account.
🌿 Grounds — where (and what) to farm
Three views, one click apart:
- Runs — your labeled run journal, smart-named (e.g. "Eversong Woods farm (ore)").
- Locations — runs folded per zone and ranked by total profit and gold/hour. "Where do I actually earn the most?" answered.
- Market — live Auction House intel. Search a whole category (Herbs / Ore / Leather / Cloth / Cooking) for under-supplied mats worth farming, rated thin / moderate / saturated. Your own gathering professions are highlighted in gold, and junk/troll listings are filtered out. Left-click any item for a Wowhead link to see exactly where it drops.
🎒 Gains — sell it & price it
Two columns: the vendor pile and your auctionable goods.
- At a merchant: review what will be sold, click a row to keep it this visit, right-click to set a permanent rule (always vendor / never sell / keep for AH), then Sell All — with a safety confirm on gear/BoP and one-click Undo.
- At the Auction House: each mat shows the recommended undercut price to list at, from Time Is Money's own live scan.
More goodies
- Self-contained AH pricing — no TSM/Auctionator needed (they slot in as extra sources if present).
- Per-character settings — tracked professions, color theme, and the gear-sell tier are each per-character. Your skinner warrior and herbalist mage keep their own.
- Auto-vendor old gear by upgrade tier — pick Veteran / Champion / Hero / Myth instead of memorizing item levels.
- Per-item pricing rules, pricing modes (Vendor / AH-if-sells / AH-always), fishing & looted-drop tracking.
- Six color themes — Seafoam, Amethyst, Amber, Crimson, Steel, and Class Color.
- Sounds — a goblin greets every run with "Time is money, friend!" (plus run-end and sell cues), with a master switch and per-event toggles. Off-brand? Silence it in one click.
- Tooltips everywhere, including a one-line intro on each tab.

Known limitation
Auction House posting is manual. The current game patch blocks addons from posting auctions directly, so Time Is Money does the hard part — telling you the exact price to list at — and you place the auction in Blizzard's own AH window.
Getting started
- Install, log in, open with
/tim. - Go farm — runs auto-start on your first gather or loot.
- Visit a merchant to clear junk from the Gains tab; open the AH to price your mats.
- Check Grounds → Locations for your best spots, and Grounds → Market for your next one.
Made for gold farmers who want to know their numbers without living in a spreadsheet.
