Ataraxia

A quality-of-life addon for World of Warcraft (Midnight, 12.x) that does a bunch of small useful things so you don't have to run a separate addon for each one. Auto-repair, auto-sell, quest handling, better tooltips, a global font, UI decluttering, and more, all in one place with an in-game options screen. No libraries required.

I built it for my own UI and figured other people might want it too.

Getting started

Type /ataraxia (or /atx, /atar) to open the options screen. There's also a minimap button and an addon-compartment entry. Settings are split into tabs, there's a search box if you can't find something, a few color themes to pick from, and preset buttons if you'd rather not go through everything one toggle at a time. Nothing here is destructive by default.

What it does

Automation

Vendor — auto-repair (can use guild funds), auto-sell grey junk. It prints what it did, so an automatic action is never silent. Hold Shift as you open a merchant to skip both for that visit.

Trainer — adds a Train All button that learns every recipe you can afford.

Loot — faster auto-loot, skips the "are you sure" popups for bind-on-pickup and rolls, quick way to destroy an item. Optionally replaces the manual-loot frame with a compact list plus a Take All button.

Quests — auto accept, turn in, and handle gossip. Hold Shift any time you want to do it manually instead. It won't pick up new quests for you, and single-option dialogues are off by default since a lone option can be a teleport or a gold cost.

Social — auto-accept invites from friends and guildmates, invite anyone who whispers you a keyword, auto-accept summons after a delay you set, auto-decline duels.

Combat — auto-accept resurrection (won't if the person ressing you is still fighting), auto-release in PvP.

Keystone — drops your Mythic+ keystone in the font automatically.

Display

Tooltips — IDs for items, spells, buffs and debuffs, quests, achievements, NPCs and currencies; total sell price for a stack, Mythic+ score, item level, class-colored names, and which mount someone's riding. You can also hold a key (Shift, Alt, or Ctrl) to make tooltips follow your cursor — it's live, so pressing or releasing while a tooltip is up moves it right then.

Stats window — a small draggable panel with FPS and latency, item level, your primary stat, and the four secondaries with their ratings and percentages.

Character sheet — item level on each equipped slot.

Professions — a badge showing unspent specialization knowledge on each primary profession.

World map — player and cursor coordinates, an optional map scale, and reopening to the zone you were last looking at.

Global font — replace the game's font everywhere (chat, quests, menus, unit frames, combat text) with a font of your choice. Sizes and outlines stay as Blizzard set them; only the typeface changes, and turning it off restores the default live. Three fonts are bundled and shared with other addons via SharedMedia.

Tweaks — extended max camera zoom and a taint-safe UI scale.

Declutter

Hide the parts of the default UI you're tired of looking at: achievement, loot, collection, and banner toasts, the zone-name flash, the NPC talking head, and the boss-kill loot banner. All of it is live and reversible.

Alerts

Reminders in chat for the things that are easy to forget — unspent talent points, gear that's missing, un-enchanted, or has an empty socket, buffing up when a ready check starts, and low durability. If your queued role doesn't match your current spec when a dungeon queue pops, it can warn you as a center-screen raid warning so you can switch before you're summoned in.

Commands

Short slash commands for the usual chores: /rl reload, /rc ready check, /gm help ticket, /leave leave group, /clr clear chat, /cal calendar, /fps framerate and latency.
