Description

Time Until Death

Time Until Death is a lightweight World of Warcraft addon that estimates how long your current target has left to live based on its remaining health and the group’s current damage rate.

Designed for World of Warcraft: Midnight Season 2, the addon supports Midnight’s protected combat-health system and requires no external libraries, accounts, or API keys.

Features

  • Estimates the remaining lifetime of your target.
  • Accounts for damage from your entire group.
  • Supports targets, focus targets, and boss units.
  • Displays readable times such as 45 sec or 1m 30 sec.
  • Uses boss encounter and player combat timing for protected enemies.
  • Automatically hides when no tracked unit exists.
  • Lightweight, draggable, and easy to configure.
  • Saves its position and settings between sessions.
  • Uses no external libraries or network services.

Commands

  • /ttd unlock — Unlock the display for dragging.
  • /ttd lock — Lock the display.
  • /ttd reset — Restore the default position.
  • /ttd unit target — Track your current target.
  • /ttd unit focus — Track your focus target.
  • /ttd unit boss1 — Track a boss unit. Supports boss1 through boss8.

Midnight limitations

Midnight protects enemy health information during many combat encounters. When health is protected, the addon uses Blizzard’s secret-safe interface APIs and calculates an approximate result from the start of combat or the boss encounter.

Protected estimates are marked with ~. Enemies that join an existing pull late may produce less accurate estimates because Blizzard prevents addons from reading their health history.
