What's new

0.2.0 - Tank and DPS threat indicators

  • Added a Tank / DPS role choice saved per character. Tank remains the default, and existing preferences are preserved.
  • Added faction-specific DPS warning symbols: yellow high-threat triangles and red aggro diamonds. The original faction shields remain an optional DPS style. Below-warning icons stay hidden in DPS mode.
  • Added optional personal on-screen warnings and sounds, with independent text/sound and severity switches, tone choices, text size/position/duration controls and outside-combat previews.
  • Combined personal warnings across visible enemies. The highest enabled urgency takes priority, with separate yellow/red sound cooldowns. No group-chat messages are sent.
  • Rebuilt settings with General, Icons, Enemy names and DPS alerts sections and an interactive simulated preview.
  • Added a standalone movable settings window and a branded button outside the minimap ring. Left-click opens/closes settings, right-drag repositions the button outside combat, and /tb opens the same menu. Menu and button positions are saved.
  • Preserved faction shield artwork, existing appearance options, optional compact names, green visibility and combat-deferred display/retry feedback.

Updating: Restart WoW after installing so it discovers the new Lua files and runtime artwork. Existing saved choices are retained; choose DPS explicitly on the characters where you want it.

Compatibility: This Release is tagged for WoW Forever 1.60.1, Classic Era / Season of Discovery 1.15.9, Anniversary / Burning Crusade Classic 2.5.6, and Mists Classic 5.5.4. Classic gameplay has not been tested; feedback from those clients is welcome. Icons reflect native threat states; an absent icon or personal warning does not confirm safety.
