# Thicc UI
**Quality-of-life additions for World of Warcraft: Forever.** Action keybinds that follow your abilities around your bars, a Mobile Trainer tab on the spellbook, a Classic-style quest log, a radial menu you fill with your own windows, buffs, markers and more, and character snapshots you can carry from the beta to your live character. Plus a Last Cast Ability flash icon, a Flight Tracker bar, windows you can move and resize, and combo points on your target's nameplate that you can size, shape and colour to taste.
Everything is optional and lives in one settings window. Type **/thicc** to open it.
> **Made for WoW: Forever.** Thicc UI is built and tested on the Forever client (interface 16001). It has not been tested on Retail or the Classic clients and is not marked as compatible with them.

## Features
### Action Keybinds
Bind a key to an ability, item or macro and it **stays with that action** when you drag it to another slot or another bar. Up to two keys per action. Keys you set in Quick Keybind Mode (**/kb**) or the keybindings window are picked up as you set them. Nothing is changed during combat.
### Mobile Trainer
A tab at the end of the spellbook's row of tabs that shows the abilities you will be able to learn: the level each needs, its cost, and what else it requires, laid out like your class trainer's list. The trainer's list can only be read while its window is open, so **visit your class trainer once** and Thicc UI remembers it. Abilities you learn afterwards drop off the list. Visit again after levelling to refresh it.
### Classic Quest Log
Press your quest log key (normally **L**) for a Classic-style log: zones and quests in a list you can collapse, quests coloured by difficulty with (Elite), (Dungeon), (Complete) and (Failed) tags, a parchment details page with objectives, description and rewards (each reward on its own panel, coloured by rarity), and Track / Abandon / Share / Exit. Shift-click a quest to track it. If anything goes wrong the key falls back to the default quest log. The map's own quest log is left alone. **/tuilog** opens it too.
### Character Snapshots (beta to live)
Capture your macros, action bars, keybinds, all your game settings (gameplay, accessibility, system), your HUD layout (Edit Mode) and Thicc UI settings, then restore them onto another character (for example your beta character onto your live one). **/tuisnap**.
### Last Cast Ability
- **A small icon that flashes in place on every press** of a button on your action bars -- whether it actually goes off or not -- so spamming a button actually looks like spamming something.
- **A confirmed cast sends a green copy flying off to the side** (left or right, your choice) and fading, instead of just changing colour -- motion makes "just mashing it" and "that one landed" obviously different, even at a glance.
- The icon is read straight off the button you pressed, not looked up separately, so it always matches what's on your action bar.
- **Dims after a few seconds** of nothing being pressed, so it reads as "last used" rather than "still going."
- Drag it to move it, right-click and hold to resize -- the same as every other window.
### Move and Resize Windows
- **Drag any window by its title bar** to move it (character, talents, spellbook, map, bags, professions, Guild & Communities, Group Finder, collections, and any other panel the game opens). There is nothing to unlock and nothing drawn over your windows.
- **Right-click and hold the title bar** to resize (it scales the whole window).
- **Windows open where you closed them.**
- **Unit frames** (player, target, focus, party, raid): drag a unit's **name** to move it, right-click and hold it to resize. **The minimap:** hold **Shift** and drag (Shift + right-click and hold to resize), so it stays clickable the rest of the time. Nothing is drawn on either, and they switch themselves off in combat. Untick *Allow moving unit frames and the minimap* to lock them.
- **Alignment grid:** right-click the minimap button to show or hide it. Choose how **dense** it is (cells from 4 to 128 units) and how visible, and optionally snap windows to it while you move them. **Reset all window positions** puts everything back.
### Profiles
Keep several complete sets of Thicc UI settings, switch between them, and export or import a profile as plain text to share.
### Keep Settings (WoW: Forever beta)
The Forever beta doesn't load addon settings back, so every addon starts from its defaults each time. Thicc UI keeps a copy of your changed settings in a few general macros ("ThiccUI Save 1", "ThiccUI Save 2"...) and restores them at login. On by default; `/thiccsave off` turns it off.
### Radial Menu
- **Rings of icons on keys of your choice**, centred on your mouse: game windows, buffs and other spells, professions, items, toys, macros, mounts, raid markers and world markers -- up to 12 per ring.
- **Up to 8 rings**, each with its own name, key and contents (say, one for windows, one for buffs, one for portals).
- **Professions open in one click**, straight to that profession's window.
- **Hold the key, point at a slice, let go** -- it's used, no click needed. Or tap the key and click.
- **Pick spells from your spellbook** by tab, or **drag things straight in** from your spellbook, bags, macros, mounts or action bars, or pick windows, markers and professions from icon grids.
- Works with keyboard, mouse buttons and gamepad buttons; the key is also in the game's Key Bindings window.
### Flight Tracker
- **A bar that appears whenever you're on a flight path**, showing where you're flying from and to.
- **The first time you take a route**, it counts up while it learns how long the flight takes.
- **After that**, it counts down from the remembered time -- shared by every character on your account, not just the one who flew it first.
- Drag it to move it, right-click and hold to resize -- the same as every other window.
### Combo Points on the Nameplate
Pips on your target's nameplate that show your combo points. Choose the size, spacing, count, shape (square, circle or diamond), colour and position. The preview in the settings window is drawn to scale for **your** nameplate size, so what you see there is what you get. Built to work with the 12.x "secret value" restrictions.
- **Optionally shows your current energy** (or whichever resource you're using) right next to the pip row, on the left or the right.
### Extras
- **Elite dragon on your player frame,** in either of two variants: the plain elite (gold) or a **rare elite (silver)**, each captured and remembered separately, with a toggle to pick which one shows. the gold dragon you see wrapped around an elite's portrait on the target frame, mirrored onto yours. It copies the picture and its size from your target frame the first time you target an elite, so the two match, and it scales when you resize the player frame. Off by default; turn it on under *Elite Overlay*.
- **Key binding safety net:** Thicc UI never changes key bindings that look unloaded or wiped, never takes a key from movement, and keeps an automatic backup (about once a day, last 5) that `/tuibindings restore` can put back.
- **Minimap button:** left-click for settings, right-click to show or hide the grid, drag to move it.

Some other addons also use `/tui` and `/kb`. If one of those ever opens something else, use `/thicc` and `/tuikb`, which are ours alone.
## Installing
Install through the CurseForge app, or download the zip and extract the **ThiccUI** folder into `World of Warcraft/_classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns/` (or your Forever folder). Enable it on the character select screen and type `/thicc`.
## Good to know
- Moving, resizing and rebinding are blocked during combat (the game does not allow addons to do it then).
- Some features are new and have only been tested on the beta. If something misbehaves, the commands below print what Thicc UI can see; please include their output when you report a problem.
- Thicc UI makes no network requests. Its settings are stored in `ThiccUIDB` in your WTF folder; Mobile Trainer keeps a list of your class trainer's abilities there too.
## Reporting a problem
Please include the game build, what you did, any Lua error text, and the output of whichever of these applies:
| Problem with | Type |
|---|---|
| Windows won't move | `/tuiwin` |
| Unit frame handles | `/tuiframes` |
| Options list | `/tuiopts` |
| Quest log | `/tuilog debug` |
| Keybinds | `/tuikeys` |
| Mobile Trainer | `/tuispells debug` |
| Elite dragon | `/tuielite` |
