A leather backpack full of books. The Explorer's Journal paints a page for every place you set foot in, keeps the people you meet, the lore you read, your screenshots as memories and your whole journey, level by level.
🎒 The Explorer's Backpack
A leather backpack for your books, part of the Nether addon family.
Open it from its bag button beside your bag bar, its minimap button, /backpack or a key. The flap lifts, your books stand inside: hover one to see what is new, click it to take it out.
đź“– The Explorer's Journal
A painted page and a story for every place in Azeroth: all 1,044 of them, each with its own painting. A place is written in when you really go there, with the date and the character who found it. Places you haven't found wait under fog and a wax seal.
- Contents for each chapter, search, page turns with the arrows or the mouse wheel, a ribbon bookmark, resizing and a reading mode
- A toast for every new discovery; click it to read the page
đź‘Ą People
Keep the players you meet. Group with someone and they are written in, with when and where. Rate them with five faces, from Avoid to Great, and add your own note and tags.
- Your face for someone shows under their group invite, on your target, on nameplates and (with NetherChat) in chat. Only you see it.
- Rate your group: after 10 minutes or more together, one click per player
- AutoLayer and ForeverRecruiter can pass by players you rated Avoid
- Everything is private: nothing is ever shared or sent. The journal is saved scrambled and sealed, so it can't be read by opening the file.
🧠Your Journey
Each character's story to look back on: companions, dungeons and your fastest clears, milestones, travels and deaths, gold earned and spent, experience per hour and how long until the next level. Every zone has its own Zone journey.

Every quest's story as the quest giver told it, and every book, letter and plaque you open, page by page, listed by zone and searchable.
📸 My memories
Every screenshot you take goes on the page of the place you took it, with a note you can write. The Explorer's Album, a page that comes with the addon, shows the pictures on their pages and can print a zone's Journey book or save it as a PDF.

NetherBags, NetherAngler, Campfire Chronicles and NetherQuester put their own books in the backpack when they are installed. Addon authors can add theirs too.
