Added a read-only provider interface used by The Great Expedition.
The provider can supply:
- Quest records
- Eligibility fields
- Start locations
- Turn-in locations
- Verification state
- Database version
- Supported game version
Verification Storage
Added account-wide SavedVariables for:
- Live quest observations
- Independent observers
- Confirmation counts
- Coordinate variants
- Conflicting reports
- Client builds
- Last observation timestamps
- Review state

All launch entries are marked:

The status indicates that the record is usable but has not yet been confirmed against the current live Classic client.

Event Quest Classification
Added filtering metadata for seasonal, temporary, and obsolete quest families.
Added exclusions for:
- Darkmoon Faire
- Lunar Festival
- Winter Veil
- Hallow’s End
- Children’s Week
- Love is in the Air
- Obsolete Ahn’Qiraj war-effort content
Standard Dataset Filtering
- Event-only quests are no longer exposed as ordinary permanently available quests.
- Temporary event quests remain in the source database where required for future event support.
- Event-filtered records are excluded from the standard Quest Ledger dataset.
- Seasonal quests are filtered before character eligibility is evaluated.
Map Data Access
- Updated the provider so quest data can be requested for any supported map.
- Quest start and turn-in records are no longer implicitly restricted to the player’s current zone.
- The Great Expedition remains responsible for restricting minimap markers to the current zone.
Verification Compatibility
- Existing observations remain compatible.
- Existing conflict records remain compatible.
- Existing SavedVariables do not require deletion.

Quest Area and Category Data
Added the original quest area and category identifier to 4,113 quest records.
This allows The Great Expedition to associate quests with:
- Outdoor zones
- Dungeons
- Raids
- Quest categories
Dungeon and Raid Associations
Added support for retrieving quests associated with supported instances.
Initial tested associations include:
- The Deadmines
- Wailing Caverns
- Ragefire Chasm
The provider can return all database-associated quests for an instance, while The Great Expedition determines their current character state.
Outdoor Zone Associations
Added support for retrieving quests associated with outdoor zones.
This allows Frontier to identify elite quests associated with the current zone.
Elite Quest Classification
- Added support for storing or requesting elite quest classification.
- The Great Expedition may supplement database information with Blizzard’s live quest-data API.
- Entries without confirmed elite classification remain unclassified rather than being guessed.
Provider API
Expanded the read-only provider interface with access to:
- Quest area/category identifiers.
- Dungeon and raid quest groups.
- Outdoor-zone quest groups.
- Quest classification data.
Verification Preservation
The update preserves:
- Existing live observations.
- Independent observer records.
- Conflicts.
- Coordinate variants.
- Verification statuses.
- Database-derived labels.
