TankCaps-1.2.0.zip
What's new
Adds Warrior and Druid tank support, and TankCaps now only shows up when you're actually in a tank spec.
Added
- Warrior (Protection) and Druid (Feral) support, alongside Paladin.
- Druids get the crit column on its own. Bears can't block or parry, so 102.4 is unreachable by design — a column that could only ever read red would be misleading.
- Survival of the Fittest lowers the druid crit requirement to 2.6% (415 defense at 70).
/tc debugnow shows the detected spec, and the defense needed for the cap against what you have.
Changed
- TankCaps only appears on a tank spec — Protection warrior, Protection paladin, or Feral druid. On anything else it stays hidden and idle, and it comes back on its own when you respec.
- The bar is now a flat 102.4 at all times. The number against it is whatever you have at that moment, so it rises when you cast Holy Shield and drops back when it falls off.
- When you're capped, the sub line now shows your headroom (
+4 def) instead of repeating the target. That's the number you want when deciding whether a gear swap is safe —+4 defmeans swapping a piece that costs you 5 defense puts you back in crit range. - The display now keeps up with any buff, proc or gear swap that moves your numbers, not just Holy Shield.
Fixed
- Resilience wasn't counted toward crit immunity, so the "N def" hint asked for more defense than you actually needed — 50 more at 2% resilience.
- A buff expiring out of combat could leave the frame showing avoidance you no longer had.
Removed
The reduced out-of-combat gearing bar. Earlier versions dropped the target to 72.4 while Holy Shield was down. TankCaps now always measures against 102.4 and always shows what you have right now.
Paladins who used to read green at the bank will read red there until Holy Shield is up. That's intended, not a bug — cast it and the number goes up.
