v1.1.0 — Import Mode & Major Improvements

New: Import Mode You can now import your own talent build from talentplanner.app. Plan your talent order on the website, click Export JSON, paste it into TalentGuide in-game, give it a name, and the same step-by-step interface you know from Guide Mode will track your progress automatically. Consecutive points in the same talent collapse into a single step, tree names (Discipline, Holy, Shadow etc.) appear as headers, and everything ticks green as you spend points — exactly like the built-in guides.

New: Build Manager Save as many named builds as you want. Load or delete them with a single click. Includes a class mismatch warning if you try to load a build for the wrong class.

New: Talent Frame Toggle Button A "Talent Guide >>" button now sits in the talent frame title bar. Click it to open or close the panel without needing any slash commands.

Improvements

  • Guide Mode and Import Mode panels no longer overlap when switching between them
  • The Import panel has its own mode toggle buttons so you can always switch back to Guide Mode
  • Progress in imported builds is saved per character between sessions, with a Reset Progress button
  • The panel updates instantly whenever you spend a talent point
  • Various layout and click-blocking fixes to the Build Manager window

v1.0.0 — Initial Release

Step-by-step talent leveling guide that attaches directly to your talent panel. No more alt-tabbing to a browser mid-quest.

Covers all 9 classes and all 27 specialisations with builds sourced from the Icy Veins TBC Classic leveling guides. As you spend talent points in-game the steps tick green automatically. Hover any step for a tooltip explaining why that talent is recommended at that point in leveling. Hover any spec button for a role summary, solo viability rating, and key strengths. Progress is saved per character and per spec between sessions.

Classes covered: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior — all three specs each.

Slash commands: /tg to toggle the panel, /tgdebug to inspect your live talent cache.

Why TalentGuide vs other talent addons?

Similar addons show you a talent build. TalentGuide coaches you through one — it tells you what to take next, in order, explains the reasoning behind each choice, and tracks whether you have done it. The built-in Icy Veins guides mean it works immediately for any new character with zero setup. Import Mode means experienced players can follow their own planned sequence with the same live tracking and session persistence. No other talent addon for TBC Classic Anniversary combines pre-built leveling guides, custom build imports, automatic progress tracking, and per-character saved progress in a single package.
