Swing Queue v1.0.0
What's new
Supported versions
WoW: Forever only. SwingQueue colours Forever's built-in swing timer, which Blizzard loads for Forever and nothing else, so retail and Classic have no bar for it to colour.
No dependencies. SwingQueue does not use BLib or any library, has no settings and saves nothing.
1.0.0 — first public release
Heroic Strike waits for your next swing instead of going off when you press it, and the only sign that it is waiting is a highlight on the action button. SwingQueue colours Forever's built-in swing timer instead, so the bar you are already watching tells you what the next swing will be. Made for Saga, who asked for it.
- Heroic Strike turns the main-hand bar orange, and Cleave turns it blue, from the moment you queue it until the swing spends it or you cancel it.
- Maul and Raptor Strike turn it orange, for druids and hunters.
- Every rank counts, because an old action button can still hold a low rank and the game reports only the exact rank that was queued.
- Only the colour changes. SwingQueue never moves or resizes Blizzard's bar, so its position, its size and when it shows all stay with Edit Mode. The off-hand and ranged bars are left alone.
- The colour clears when the swing lands. The game does not always announce that moment, so while the bar is coloured SwingQueue checks ten times a second until it can clear it; the rest of the time it waits for the game's own events.
/swingqueue teststeps the main-hand bar through orange, blue and back to normal, on any class, while the bar is filling: try it while auto-attacking.- Needs Blizzard's swing timer on. If you do not see it in a fight: Game Menu, Options > Advanced Options, then tick Enable Swing Timer under Swing Timer.
Heroic Strike has been seen working in combat on the Forever beta. Cleave, Maul and Raptor Strike have not been seen in game yet; if one of them leaves the bar its normal colour, a report saying which one is the most useful thing you can send.
