Description

SweetCast

SweetCast is a modern, lightweight castbar replacement built as a rewrite and revival of the classic AzCastBar addon. It provides clean, customizable castbars for Player, Target, Mirror timers, Focus, and Pet while preserving the familiar AzCastBar feel and updating it for current WoW clients.

Features

  • Modern Castbar Replacement: Replaces Blizzard’s default Player, Target, Focus, Pet, and Mirror timer bars with clean SweetCast bars.
  • Full Bar Coverage: Supports Player, Target, Mirror, Focus, and Pet castbars with independent settings for each.
  • Blizzard Bar Suppression: Hides default Blizzard castbars and mirror timers so SweetCast can fully replace them.
  • Edit Mode: Preview, move, and position bars using test bars without needing to cast.
  • Deep Customization: Adjust textures, fonts, colors, labels, timers, backgrounds, borders, icon placement, alpha, fade timing, spark display, and reverse growth.
  • Player Safe Zone: Optional latency safe-zone display for player casts.
  • Profiles & Layout Tools: Save profiles, copy settings between bars, and apply quick layout templates.
  • Lightweight & Standalone: No required dependencies.

How to Use

  • /sc: Opens the Options & Customization menu.
  • /scast: Also opens the Options & Customization menu.
  • /sweetcast: Also opens the Options & Customization menu.
  • /scast wipeconfig: Resets all bars and settings to default.
  • Edit Mode: Toggle Edit Mode in the options panel to preview and move bars.
  • Right-Click Edit Bars: Resets an edit-mode bar to the center before saving its position.

Latest Updates

  • v1.4.1: Leverages Blizzard’s native renderer to color cast bars from protected interrupt data without exposing the underlying value, while preserving safe fallback behavior. (Fine, keep your secrets Blizzard, but please color this pixel with it.)
  • v1.4: Added an option for Target and Focus bars to treat protected cast data as uninterruptible.
  • v1.3: Improved Target and Focus interrupt color handling, including protected cast data.
  • v1.2: Fixed channel-style casts like Penance sometimes flashing as failed/interrupted.
  • v1.1: Added optional LibSharedMedia-3.0 support metadata.
  • v1.0: Initial Release.

About

SweetCast is based on and inspired by AzCastBar by Aezay, which is no longer maintained. SweetCast preserves the familiar AzCastBar-style castbar experience while streamlining and modernizing it for today’s World of Warcraft.
