summoncore

Mini game around the summoning of Zennit, game and story.
# Summon Core

**A Ritual of Summoning logger for WoW Forever that turns every warlock summon into a shared tally, a points score, a weekly contest and a story.**

If your group spends half its evenings summoning each other, this keeps the score. Cast Ritual of Summoning as usual and Summon Core notices, records it, credits the people who helped, and shares the result with everyone else running the addon. No spreadsheet and no copying names into chat.

## What it does for you

**It logs summons by itself.** When you cast Ritual of Summoning, the addon records who you summoned, where you stood, and which party or raid members were channeling with you. If it can't tell who helped, a small prompt asks you to tick the names, and it saves itself after 20 seconds if you ignore it.

**It scores every summon by destination.** A city is worth 1 point, an ordinary zone 3, a dungeon entrance 5, and a far-flung place such as Silithus or Winterspring 10. Standing somewhere odd? `/sc where` tells you what the spot is worth.

**It shares the log between friends.** Everyone running the addon sees the same tally of summons cast, received and assisted, with points and a ranking. Merging is set union, so nothing is double-counted. If addon messages are ever blocked, you can copy the log out and paste it into a friend's game with `/sc export` and `/sc import`.

**It hands out badges and titles.** Badges such as "Filed in Triplicate" (ten summons) and "Beyond the Index's Jurisdiction" (a far-flung place), plus season titles such as the heaviest hand and the best supporting role, all worked out from the log and announced in the dry voice of a bureaucrat called the Index.

**It runs a weekly contest.** The group takes on one friend, Zennit, whom they summon and who gets to answer. He can accept, decline, ask for silver, or roll dice against the summoner, with helpers adding to the summoner's roll. Weeks add up to a season, and the first side to five weekly wins takes the finale. The Index keeps the race close by nudging the odds toward whoever is behind.

**It tells a story.** `/sc intro` plays "Zennit and the Index": illustrated, narrated chapters (neon line drawings, voice and a music bed). Each weekly win unlocks the next chapter, and the last scene, "The Index today", is written from your own season each time it plays. `/sc tour` is a short narrated walk through the window for newcomers.

## What it changes in your game

- A **Summon Core window** (`/sc`) with tabs for the party, the log, the story, sync and tools.
- A **prompt** after your summons, a **dialog** for the person being summoned, and short **chat lines** about the week.
- **Voice and sound** for the story and tour; every sound has an on/off switch.
- It changes nothing in combat, your action bars or other addons.

## Getting started

Type `/sc` to open the window, `/sc help` for the short command list, `/sc rules` for the contest rules and `/sc tour` for the guided walk. Only the caster needs the addon for a summon to be logged, but the more of your group runs it, the better the shared tally and contest work.

## Good to know

- Built for the **WoW Forever beta** client (interface 16001).
- Made by and for one friend group. The tally, scoring, badges and sync work for anyone; the weekly contest needs a "Zennit" in your group, a friend who takes that role.
- It's **a work in progress**. Detection and sync have been tested with real friends; some newer parts (dice between two clients, the season finale, the tour) haven't been run in the live client yet. Bug reports are welcome: `/sc errors` shows what the addon caught in itself.
