Description

StormRecipe
By Stormeon Entertainment

Find the recipes your character is missing—right inside your profession window.

StormRecipe is a World of Warcraft Classic Era addon that compares your learned recipes against a bundled catalogue of 1,250 Vanilla recipe entries. Missing recipes appear in red, with search, acquisition filters, skill requirements, and recipe information together in one view.

Select a recipe to see its available acquisition details. As you visit recipe vendors and profession trainers, StormRecipe records their names and locations for future reference.

Features

  • Profession-window integration: includes a Missing Recipes view for crafting professions and Enchanting.

  • Red missing-recipe entries: quickly identify recipes your character has not learned.

  • Search and filters: browse by recipe name or acquisition type, including trainers, vendors, quests, and drops.

  • Skill requirements: see the profession skill needed for each recipe.

  • Find Recipe: display available acquisition information for your selected recipe.

  • Source discovery: save vendor and trainer sightings, including names, zones, and coordinates when available.

  • Copy Lookup: copy a Classic Wowhead recipe reference for additional research.

  • Login help: available commands appear in chat when you log in.

  • No additional addons required.

Supported professions

Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Cooking, Enchanting, Engineering, First Aid, Leatherworking, Mining—including smelting—Poisons, and Tailoring.

Getting started

  1. Open your profession window.

  2. Click Missing Recipes.

  3. Click Scan All to expand categories and reset profession filters for an accurate scan.

  4. Search or browse the red entries, then select a recipe to view its information.

  5. Click Back to Crafting to return to your normal crafting view.

Commands

  • /stormrecipes or /sr — open Missing Recipes while a profession window is open.

  • /sr scan — scan your open profession.

  • /sr help — display the command list.

  • /sr about — reopen the addon information and update popup.

Current beta limitations

Exact vendor and trainer locations are collected as you encounter them; this release does not include a complete preloaded database of every recipe’s NPC or drop location. Acquisition categories are available from the bundled catalogue.

The catalogue is a Vanilla reference and may not include every modern Classic Era addition. Faction, specialization, reputation, and event restrictions are not fully filtered, so some listed recipes may be unavailable to your character.

This release targets Classic Era.
