StatMarks 4.6.0 — the big settings overhaul
Everything since 4.3.0 in one update: a completely rebuilt, modern settings experience. If you're coming from 4.3.0, here's what's new.
A brand-new settings window
- Flat, modern dark window with a left sidebar — no more Blizzard-parchment tabs. Same reliability as before: movable, resizable, remembers position/size/last page, closes with Escape (only the window), and fully usable in combat. The classic ESC → Options → AddOns path still works too.
- Seven intent-grouped pages instead of feature-history tabs: Overview, Profiles, Talent Builds, Sharing, Appearance, Notifications, About. Loadout bindings and soft caps now live inside Profiles as fold-out groups, all sharing controls have their own page, and the instance reminder + update notes moved to Notifications. Nothing was removed — everything just has a clearer home (a one-time chat note confirms it).
New: Overview — your landing page
- Your four stats as the same bars you know from the character sheet — fill colors, threshold tick, spark, tooltip — each with a "rating / threshold" readout.
- One compact status line: active profile, loadout binding, Main build.
- Quick-action buttons that jump straight to the right place: Edit thresholds, Create missing builds, Share, Export.
New: Talent Builds page (formerly the library section)
- The full build management as its own page: grouped by source character, filters, selective creation, per-build delete and Export.
- Main build star: mark ONE build per spec as your "Main" — it sorts to the top, shows a gold star everywhere, and comes pre-ticked when creating builds on your alts. Never auto-applied.
- New section below: your other characters of the same class and spec and how many builds each contributed.
Under the hood
- A new automated release check (real Lua 5.1 compile verification) prevents an entire class of "addon fails to load" errors permanently.
- Versions 4.4.x/4.5.0 were interim steps of this overhaul (a tree-based Overview that we scrapped after feedback — thanks to everyone who spoke up!). If you briefly had 4.4.1: its fix is included here.
