This file is uploaded as the release notes for each CurseForge file, so keep the top section about the version you are shipping.
0.14.0
Guild invites by keyword: /sdkp ginvite <word>, and whoever whispers you exactly that word (any case) gets a guild invite and a short reply, if your rank may invite and they are not in the guild already. Once a minute per name at most; /sdkp ginvite off stops it. Raid invites stay with MRT.
0.13.0
PallyPower Forever filled in from the plan: whenever the plan changes (Import, Auto assign, a chosen job), the raid leader's or an assist's SquawkDKP sends every Paladin's PallyPower their blessings and aura, silently, out of combat. Kings on every class; Might on Warriors and Rogues, and by name on Feral Druids, Retribution Paladins and Enhancement Shamans; Wisdom on every other class (Hunters too); the Paladin's utility aura for their group, else their resistance aura.
0.12.0
Right-click a name in /sdkp raid's groups to choose their job: Main tank, Off tank, Healer on MT or OT, Windfury, Grace of Air or Strength of Earth (only what their class can do). The engine plans the rest around it: whoever had the job, and whatever the raider held that cannot go with it, is handed on, and the notes and raid warnings are worded again. Choices hold through Auto assign and Import while the raid lasts; Clear takes a raider's back.
0.11.2
No Mass Salvation anywhere: it is gone from WoW: Forever (the website clears its row and picks once).
0.11.1
Insect Swarm and Scorpid Sting are rows again, on the website and in game: a Balance Druid on Insect Swarm, else a Hunter on Scorpid Sting (the two do not stack).
0.11.0
One planning engine for every raid (Engine.lua), the same file the website's Assignments wand and Auto groups now run. Import fits the website's plan to the raid as it is: everyone there keeps their place and picks; a missing raider's place goes to the closest raider who came (spec, then role, then class); groups shuffle where that wins auras and totems; jobs nobody holds go to who can do them with the fewest jobs, never as a second Blessing, aura, curse, totem of one element, tank or healing spot (a tank or healer moves up instead); required rows left empty are filled. Fills (website placeholders) get a job only when no raider can do it. The tables are worded as the website words them, and a raider's groups are said together ("Power Word: Fortitude (G1, G2)"). Import says nothing more than that the plan loaded, unless a needed job has nobody; /sdkp raid changes lists what it did. Auto assign is the same engine with no plan: it now follows the website's rows (no Mana Tide, Tremor, Insect Swarm or Scorpid Sting lines).
0.10.0
Import fits the website's plan to who is in the raid. Raiders who called out get a stand-in from those who came instead (same spec, then same role, then same class, then anyone), who takes their spot and every job of theirs they can do. A job the stand-in cannot do goes to the raider here who can and holds the fewest jobs, never as a second Blessing, totem of one element, aura, curse or tank spot; a tank's spot with no tank free moves the next tank up. Everyone else keeps exactly what the website gave them. The notes, the personal note and the raid warnings keep the website's wording with the new names; chat lists who stood in, what was handed on and what is left open. The Import box's "Again for who is here" adapts the last import once more when the raid changes again. Needs the website's import string from today on (older strings still load, unadapted).
0.9.4
No auras in the raid warnings: Blessings announces Blessings only, for short warnings. (The website's Totems / Auras tables still name one aura per group.)
0.9.3
Auto assign announces the Paladin auras with the Blessings (everything a Paladin does on one button), no longer with the totems. The DKP window's x sits on the line of Import and Export, as tall as them, and the Loot tab's ? lines up with the Discard buttons below it.
0.9.2
The personal note button is called "Broadcast personalized Note" and spans the window, so it fits; what it does shows on hover.
0.9.1
Water totems are each Shaman's own call: Auto assign no longer hands out Mana Spring or Healing Stream (Mana Tide stays). The Shaman on Fire Resistance Totem is told it goes down instead of their water totem. Paladin auras are announced with the totems again, as a website plan does: nine announce buttons, not ten.
0.9.0
The DKP windows (the organizer's /sdkp window, the item window, bidding, the raider's window and every dialog) take the raid tools' look, which is the website's: flat and dark with a thin edge, white text, the orange accent. Each window's main action is the orange button (Start bidding, Bid, Award, Yes...), the open tab is orange, text boxes light up orange while typing, a selected row is tinted orange. Nothing about how they work changed.
0.8.12
Auto assign makes a personal note too: after Auto assign, "Personal note (whole raid)" sends one MRT note in which each raider sees only their own jobs (tank, heals, sunders, curses, buffs, Fear Ward, blessings, totems, resistances), as the website's personal note does.
0.8.11
Personal note: the sender no longer gets an extra copy of the whole plan on top. Everyone, the sender too, sees only their own part and the lines that name nobody. The whole plan of one boss is still the Note button.
0.8.10
/sdkp raid opens the raid tools the first time you type it. A new window starts out shown, so the first command used to build it and hide it straight away; you had to type it twice.
0.8.9
Personal note: /sdkp raid has a "Personal note (whole raid)" button. It sends one MRT note for every boss in which each raider sees only their own jobs and the lines that name them (MRT shows text in ...{/p} to that character only); lines that name nobody everyone sees. Whoever sends it also gets the whole plan, for them alone. Import the raid again from the website to get it. Raiders keep MRT's "Show only personal note" off: that one shows only a note they typed themselves.
0.8.8
Auto assign lists each class in its spec order across the raid, slot 1 to the last: Protection, Arms, Fury Warriors; Retribution, Protection, Holy Paladins; Shadow, Discipline, Holy Priests; Feral, Balance, Restoration Druids; Enhancement, Elemental, Restoration Shamans; Arcane, Fire, Frost Mages; Affliction, Demonology, Destruction Warlocks; Assassination, Combat, Subtlety Rogues; Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, Survival Hunters. Two raiders swap groups for it only where buff coverage, tanks and healers stay as good, so a Protection Paladin still sits with the casters. Raiders of the same spec keep the order they had, so "the second Fury Warrior" stays the same raider.
0.8.7
Water totems, one per Shaman: Healing Stream where Warriors, Rogues, Ferals and Retribution Paladins outnumber the rest of the group, else Mana Spring (a tie too). A second Shaman in the group drops the other one, so no Shaman is told to drop both.
0.8.6
Mark of the Wild goes to Balance Druids first (they take the most groups), then Restoration, then Feral.
0.8.5
Divine Spirit is baseline on WoW: Forever, so Auto assign spreads it over every Priest, Shadow Priests too, the same way as Fortitude.
0.8.4
Auto assign gives every tank one healer, main tank first, in this order: Holy Paladins, Priests, Restoration Shamans, Restoration Druids. Two Holy Paladins heal the main and off tank. Everyone left heals the raid.
0.8.3
Auto assign lists each group by role: tank specs (Protection, Feral) first, then physical damage, then casters, then healers; like next to like within each.
0.8.2
Auto assign lists each group with its tanks first, then like next to like: a class together, a spec together within it (two Fury Warriors, then two Hunters). With two or more Shamans who all sit with tanks, the one with the fewest tanks still drops Strength of Earth. A second Protection Paladin off tanks when there is no Protection Warrior.
0.8.1
Auto assign places raiders in this order, after buff coverage: tanks with a Shaman (Stoneskin first, then Healing Stream), healers with Mana Spring, Mana Tide and Concentration Aura, the officers' template, then casters. Every group with a Shaman gets its own earth and water totems, and each Paladin's aura is picked from the group's make-up. The raid tools window opens every time you become raid leader, not just once per raid.
0.8.0
Auto assign fits any raid size and puts buff coverage first. It uses as few groups as the raid needs (one per five raiders), then moves raiders until as many as possible share a group with a Paladin (aura) and with a Shaman (totems). Earlier groups fill first; any short group is the last. The officers' 20-man template only breaks ties, so a 2-man raid is one group, not groups 2 and 4. A second Paladin in a group takes a different aura.
0.7.9
The Tanks announcement carries the raid marks: skull on the main tank, X on the off tank, square
on the third ({rt8} Main tank: ...), also for plans imported earlier.
0.7.8
The raid tools window is now only as wide as the 3 x 3 announce grid (about 245 px): narrower buttons, the four group boxes share that width and long names are cut short.
0.7.7
Narrower announce buttons.
0.7.6
Announce buttons send again. Every button but Dispels sent nothing in a raid: their lines joined the parts with "|", which starts a colour code in chat, and the game silently drops a message with a bare one. The parts are now joined with "; ", and plans imported earlier are cleaned before sending.
0.7.5
The groups fold away from their own GROUPS header (click it; remembered), and the announce buttons are thinner.
0.7.4
Each group in its own thin-bordered box, so the groups and buttons sit 3 px apart.
0.7.3
Announce buttons three to a row: the nine kinds fit 3 x 3.
0.7.2
Raid tools, compact. Small enough to leave open all raid: smaller, sharp text (no blurry shadow on the buttons), short button labels (the raid warnings keep the full ones), and - folds the groups away so only the announce buttons are left. Names are in class colour: the website now sends each roster character's class, and in a raid the raid itself fills in anyone missing.
0.7.1
Auto assign, refined. Strength of Earth goes to the healers' Shaman (else the physical group's), so the tank and caster groups' Shamans both drop Stoneskin for their tanks. A raid whose only Druid is a Feral: the Feral keeps Faerie Fire up and a Warlock adds Curse of Recklessness. Battle Shout: the first DPS warrior, else a Protection one. Past 20 raiders, groups 5-8 follow the same template as 1-4 (tanks, physical, casters, healers), auras and totems included.
0.7.0
Auto assign. A raid with no roster on the website: press Auto assign in /sdkp raid and
the raid is put into balanced groups (tanks, physical, casters, healers) with every assignment
worked out: tanks and their healers, dispels, sunders and shouts, curses and Faerie Fire, buffs
spread across their casters, Fear Wards, blessings, auras, totems and resistances. Then Apply
groups and the Announce buttons work as with a website plan. Specs come from the website (every
import now carries the guild's characters); anyone it does not know gets a guess by class,
marked with *. Not in a raid, it practises on the imported roster. Website plan switches back.
A new look for the raid tools. Flat and dark like the website, the groups shown with names in
class colours (greyed when someone is not in the raid), and the window opens by itself at the
bottom left when you lead a raid (/sdkp raid auto off to stop that, /sdkp raid reset to put
it back after moving it).
0.6.1
Importing a raid plan no longer freezes the game. The Import box takes the paste without drawing it (the game used to lay out the whole 25 KB string first, which froze it for ten seconds or more) and loads it by itself the moment you press Ctrl+V. Reading it is quicker too.
0.6.0
Raid tools: /sdkp raid. Paste one string from the website (Raid rosters, the raid's
MRT button, "SquawkDKP: everything in one import") and the raid's plan is in game:
- Apply groups sorts the raid into the website's groups, through MRT when it is installed (it moves people one by one and waits out combat), by itself when it is not.
- Load note puts the chosen boss's assignments into MRT's note and sends it to the raid.
- Announce buttons, one per kind of assignment (Tanks, Healers, Dispels, Sunders and shouts, Curses and debuffs, Buffs, Blessings, Totems, Resistances), send that boss's lines as raid warnings. Hover a button to read what it will say. Alone, the lines are only shown to you, so it can be tried without a raid. On WoW Forever the game can lock chat to addons in combat: the button then says so instead of failing quietly.
0.5.17
/sdkp export opens the Export window, as the Forever "Nothing came back from disk" message
already told you to. The Discard confirmation now says what Discard does (the item goes back
into Items up for bid), and messages no longer name commands that were removed
(/sdkp additem, startall, start, close, give).
0.5.16
Quiet on ordinary trades. Trading an item nobody is owed no longer prints "No pending ... for ...", and "Could not confirm ... reached ..." after a trade now names only items someone is owed. The warnings that point at a real mistake stay: an owed item given to the wrong person, given without the game naming who received it, or still in your bags.
0.5.15
The raid-start floor is bidding room. The snapshot now carries the floor (the website's raid-start minimum). A member whose balance is below it may still bid up to it; the website books only what they actually spend past their own balance as an advance when the raid is uploaded. Nobody is topped up when the snapshot is generated any more, so members who do not raid - or have no character - receive nothing. Pugs are unchanged: the guest allowance.
0.5.14
Copy the export string again. Once a raid is closed, the Export button becomes Copy export and shows the exact string the raid was closed with, in case the first copy did not reach the website intact. A raid closed by an older version has no saved string; there the button reads Export again and opens the tick screen to build it once more. The next Import clears it.
0.5.13
An item dragged into the trade by hand is recognised on WoW Forever. Forever shows the item in the trade window a moment late, so the addon could read your side as empty. "Trade complete" then settled that empty list and marked the trade handled, which switched off the bag count - the one check that would have seen 4 become 3. Nothing ticked off and nothing was said. Now: the window is read again a moment after every change (by name too, if the link is not there yet); "trade complete" that matched nothing leaves the decision to the bags; and the bag check covers every owed item counted when the window opened, not only the ones seen in it.
0.5.12
Items you win yourself say so. An award to the organizer's own character is never listed under Deliveries (there is nobody to trade), and it looked like the award had vanished. The addon now says "X went to Y, which is you (Z) - nothing to hand over", naming both characters.
0.5.11
The opening announcement says the minimum bid. "Bidding OPEN on [item] - minimum bid 5 DKP. ..." for a chat auction; the multi-auction's opening line gives the minimum too, or the range when the lots differ.
0.5.10
Confirmations show on top. The "Import now?" question opened behind the Import box and could not be read. Every confirmation now sits above all other windows.
0.5.9
Import starts clean, and asks first. Pressing Load now shows what the import will wipe: awards (and whether they were exported to the website), items not handed over yet, and a running or queued auction. Confirm, and the addon drops all of it - even when the snapshot is the same one - and starts empty with the new roster and DKP. Settings are kept. A pasted text that is not a snapshot is refused before the question. The quiet reload on login still keeps the raid in progress.
Stacks on WoW Forever. The addon cannot split a stack there: asked for 1 of 4, it hands over all 4 (it takes them back out). The first time that happens the addon remembers it, and from then on a lot smaller than your stack moves nothing - it tells you to split by hand. A stack of exactly the right size still goes straight in when you click the row.
0.5.8
A character whose website name has a space in it is matched in game. A character called "Treadwell Test" on the website is "Treadwell" in game (WoW names have no spaces). Names were compared with only a "-Realm" part removed, so a trade to Treadwell said "owed to Treadwell Test - not marked delivered". Everything from the first space on is now ignored too.
0.5.7
Deliveries are matched to the right person on WoW Forever. The addon read the trade partner's name from the trade window's label first, and on Forever that label is still blank when the window opens. A blank name counted as a name, so nobody matched and the (!) stayed (a hand-split stack of 4, one traded, 3 left: still owed). The game is now asked directly who the partner is, an empty answer is ignored, and the name is looked up again later in the trade if it was missing. When an owed item leaves your bags and still is not ticked off, the addon now says so in one line: who it went to, as the game named them, and who it is owed to.
0.5.6
A single item handed over from the Deliveries tab is recognised on WoW Forever.
- Forever's client shows the item in the trade window a moment after the addon puts it there. The addon read the window straight away, saw nothing, printed "You owe 1 lot(s)..." and stopped tracking the award; the item arrived anyway, was traded, and the (!) stayed. A late window is now expected: the award stays tracked and the window is checked again half a second later (only MORE than owed is ever pulled back out).
- Counting what is in the bags no longer depends on the link the award was made from: when the game cannot count that link, the bags are read by item name.
- "Both accepted" is understood whether the client sends 1 or true.
0.5.5
Several lots of the same item, handed over together, all tick off. Three Forest Mushroom Caps auctioned as three lots of one, two won by the same raider, traded as one stack of two: neither was ticked off. The addon counted trade-window slots (one slot, one delivery) instead of how many items went. It now settles by count, per item and per person: two went, two lots of one are delivered; two went and three are owed, exactly one stays owed. A trade is settled once, whichever signal the game gives first ("trade complete", both accepted, or the bag check).
0.5.4
- A delivery split off a bigger stack now ticks itself off. Handing over 1 of a stack of 3 left the (!) on the award: the addon counted your bags after the split had already moved the item, so it saw 2 before and 2 after. It now counts before anything moves (for its own auto-fill, and from the moment the trade window opens when you drag things in by hand).
- The bid box suggests a bid that will be accepted: the top bid plus the minimum raise (for example 30 over 25 with a raise of 5), not the top bid plus one. The line above says "next 30". Needs the organizer on 0.5.4 too; with an older organizer it still suggests top + 1.
0.5.3
Add to multi puts one item up, not every copy in your bags. Opening an item you hold two of (say, a Frost Mushroom Cap you already had plus the one that just dropped) pre-filled "1 stack of 2", so the lot went up as both. It now starts at one item, and says how many you hold; type a bigger number to put more up.
0.5.2
/sdkp opens the organizer's window again, with Import, Export and the Loot, Deliveries,
Roster and Settings tabs, as it did on Classic Era. The read-only raider window only opens for a
raider in a raid somebody else leads, on an account that has never imported a snapshot. That
window now has an Import button too, and /sdkp import and /sdkp organizer are back.
0.5.1
Fixes a Lua error in dungeons on WoW Forever. Targeting a boss could raise
Core.lua:11: attempt to index a secret string value. The Midnight UI that Forever runs hands
addons some values as secrets (readable by the client, an error the moment an addon touches
them), and inside an instance that includes a chat line whose sender the client will not name,
such as a boss whisper. The addon now asks issecretvalue before it reads any chat line, addon
message, trade partner name or info message, and drops the hidden ones. It says so once per
kind of line, so a raider's bid that arrived hidden would at least be noticed. Classic Era is
unaffected (no secrets there).
0.5.0
Loads on WoW Forever. The beta client (1.60.1, folder _classic_beta_) runs the Mainline
UI: the old Classic globals are gone and only the C_* namespaces remain. The addon now asks
C_Item for item info, counts and icons, keeps its C_Container / C_TooltipInfo /
C_ChatInfo paths first everywhere, and still falls back to the globals on Classic Era. One
.toc names both clients (## Interface: 16001, 11509), so one zip installs on either.
- The load line says WoW Forever client (interface 16001) on the beta, so a bug report can say which client it came from.
- The beta does not load saved variables back (a Blizzard bug in 1.60.1: it writes them on
logout and never reads them). On Forever the addon says so on login when nothing came back,
because an empty window explains nothing. Re-import the snapshot after a login or
/reload, and/sdkp exportbefore you reload. - Handing an item over now opens the trade by unit token (
raid7) when the winner is in the group, which is whatInitiateTradeis documented to take and what Blizzard's own UI passes; the short name remains the fallback. selftest_forever.pyruns the real addon under a stub shaped like the beta client where reading any removed global is an error, so a fallback that would quietly do nothing in the beta fails on the desk instead.
Not yet tested in the game. Everything above is verified against the captured API of the
beta client, not on it. Windows, chat, trade and the addon wire on the real beta are still to
be checked (TESTPLAN.md, Group F).
0.4.0
Raiders get a window. /sdkp on anyone who is not running the raid opens a read-only
panel: your own DKP, and what everybody else in the raid has. No buttons, nothing to press -
a raider's client holds no snapshot and decides nothing, it shows what the organizer sent it.
That is the end of whispering an organizer mid-pull to ask what something went for.
- A window for single items too. One item up for bid now opens a small window with the item, the minimum, the standing bid and a draining clock - the multi-auction table's behaviour, minus everything twenty rows need. It opens itself when bidding starts and closes when it ends.
- Chat bidding is untouched. Typing a number in raid chat is the same auction, judged by the same rules, and still needs no addon. The window is a second way in, not a replacement - both now run through one set of rules rather than two that could drift apart.
- A bid placed from a window is announced so chat-only raiders still see the price move, but a rejected one is answered privately. Thirty "bid rejected" lines in raid chat is what the window is for getting away from.
- The organizer re-sends the board on a timer and answers anyone who asks, the same way the multi-auction repairs itself: a dropped addon message costs a few seconds, not the rest of the raid.
- Standings the website marks private stay private. When the snapshot says standings are not public, a raider is told their own number and nothing about anybody else's.
/sdkp dkpreopens the read-only window,/sdkp bidthe bidding one.
Fixed: the item you had just won faded out with the sold rows, because the multi table read
won a dozen lines before it was declared.
0.3.0
Multi-auctions. A whole batch of items goes up at once and every raider with the addon gets a live table: bid in place, see who holds each row, watch each row's own clock. Chat bidding is unchanged and still needs no addon; this is the mode that does.
- Up to 20 lots per batch, each with its own clock. A valid bid puts that row's clock back to the full time, so a row closes only once nobody has anything more to say about it — and only that row, so a fight over one piece does not hold up the rest.
- Green means you hold the row, red means you have been outbid, yellow means you won it. Item icons, the minimum and the standing bid in separate columns, and a draining bar for the time left.
- The clock defaults to four times the single-item countdown. A table of twenty has to be read and budgeted across while every row counts down.
- Add to multi from the alt-click window, with stack splitting: six stacks of two go up as six separate lots.
- Bids are capped across the whole batch, not per row, so nobody wins six items they can afford one of.
- The organizer re-sends the table every few seconds. WoW drops addon messages silently when a client sends faster than the server will take them, and a dropped update used to be permanent. A client that hears about a row it never received asks for the table again.
Handing loot over. Click an item under Awarded items or Deliveries and the addon opens a trade with the winner and puts the item in it, splitting the stack to the amount actually owed. It counts what went into the window and takes its own item back out rather than hand over the wrong amount, and it tells you what to split when it cannot do it itself. Deliveries tick themselves off on the evidence of the trade, not by guessing from item names.
Fewer ways to get it wrong.
- Nothing starts bidding until a snapshot has been imported. Without one there is no roster, every bidder is a stranger, and the whole raid would settle on the guest allowance.
- Once a raid is exported, nothing that moves DKP is available any more — award, give, discard, undo, disenchant. Handing items over still works, because what is owed outlives the export. Importing the next snapshot opens it all back up.
- A RAID CLOSED banner, and a confirmation before building the export string.
- All three Loot columns scroll, so a batch bigger than the window is still reachable.
Spender and hoarder lines are drawn from the roster — half the median and twice it — instead of fixed numbers that stopped describing anybody a fortnight into a phase.
The version now prints on load, so it is possible to tell which copy someone is running.
0.2.0
- Multi-item auctions.
additemseveral items thenstartallopens bidding on all of them at once; raiders bid<item#> <amount>. Bids across every open item are capped at the bidder's balance, so whatever they win is affordable. lootallauctions every still-tradeable item in your bags from all bosses this raid, using the trade-timer tooltip line to tell what can still be handed out. Quality threshold viaquality <n>.- Click shortcuts. Alt-click an item to put it up for bid, Alt-Shift-click to award it directly, Ctrl-Shift-click to mark it for disenchant.
- Live panel showing every open item and its top bid, with buttons for looting the tradeable items and closing bids.
- Bid rules:
minbid, increment, andantisnipe— a bid in the final seconds extends the timer so nothing is won by sniping. - Ties now go to the earliest bidder rather than whichever one Lua happened to iterate first.
/sdkp simruns a fake auction solo, so the console can be tested without a raid.
0.1.0
- First working console: import a snapshot from the website, open bidding on an item, collect bids typed in raid chat, close, and export the result back to the website.
!dkpin raid chat or by whisper returns a balance. Raiders need no addon.
