SothPet

SothPet is a cozy virtual pet addon for World of Warcraft Retail. Adopt a tiny fantasy companion, care for its needs, help it grow, unlock titles, earn supplies, and play mini-games for pet XP and loot.

It is inspired by classic virtual pet games, but built to feel like it belongs inside Azeroth.

Adoptable Fantasy Pets

Choose from several cute fantasy companions, including magical kittens, tiny dragons, spooky pets, mechanical critters, and more. Each pet has its own personality flavor and custom portrait art.

Pet Care System

Your pet has needs that change over time:

Feed, play, clean, nap, and care for your pet to keep it healthy and happy.

Pet Progression

Your SothPet can earn XP and level up. As your pet grows, its rarity improves:

Common
Uncommon
Rare
Epic
Legendary

Pet rarity is displayed next to the species name and gives your companion a stronger sense of progression.

Supplies and Loot Crates

Collect supplies like snacks, toys, cleaning cloths, blankets, and medicine. Supplies are used for pet care actions.

Loot Crates can contain supplies, rare XP rewards, and unlockable title scrolls.

Mini-Games

SothPet includes mini-games that reward pet XP and loot.

Word Puzzle

A 5-letter guessing game with colored feedback and a polished tile-based interface. Solve the puzzle to earn XP and a bonus Loot Crate roll.

Target Practice

A quick reflex mini-game with custom cute target art. Two or three targets appear at once, but only one is the correct choice. Pick the good target, avoid the cursed decoys, and earn points toward XP and Loot Crate rewards.

Titles

Unlock and equip cosmetic titles for your pet. Titles can come from achievements, progression, puzzle milestones, survival goals, Loot Crate scrolls, and other accomplishments.

Titles are cosmetic, while rarity belongs to the pet itself.

Boarding

Need a break? Board your pet to pause its needs and survival timer. Your pet will remain safe until you unboard it.

Automatic Adventure Finds

While playing, SothPet can detect adventure activity and occasionally award supply drops. This uses WoW Statistics API polling and does not rely on combat log events.

Safe Addon Design

SothPet is self-contained addon UI. Mini-games do not interact with real WoW combat, targeting, spellcasting, or protected actions.

SothPet does not use COMBAT_LOG_EVENT_UNFILTERED.
