What's new

Simple Frame Assistant — Changelog (0.25.41)

New: modifier-key bypass (Ctrl/Alt/Shift) for Click & Cast

The General tab now has two rows of checkboxes (Ctrl / Alt / Shift) — one for Right-click and one for Left-click — letting you configure which key combination temporarily "bypasses" Click & Cast on addon-managed frames (player, target, focus, party, raid, arena):

  • Right-click: holding down every key checked on this row (default: Ctrl + Alt) while right-clicking opens Blizzard's native menu (Frame Settings) instead of your Click & Cast macro. This is the old, hardcoded behavior — now configurable.
  • Left-click: holding down every key checked on this row (default: nothing checked, i.e. off) while left-clicking selects the target (Blizzard's default behavior) instead of firing your macro. You can turn this on by checking whatever combination you like.

Note: on each row, all checked keys must be held down together for the bypass to trigger — checking multiple keys means all of them, not any one of them alone.

A plain click (no modifier held) keeps working exactly as before — normal Click & Cast.

Fixes

  • Fixed several combat-triggered "taint" blocks: opening the options panel while in combat, re-registering clicks on anonymous frames (party/raid/arena) while in combat, and an internal Blizzard call (SecureHandlerSetFrameRef) that was also being blocked by the game's anti-taint system during combat.
  • Fixed a design issue with the Left-click bypass where target selection wasn't working correctly, due to how the game's security system handles that type of action.
