# Shaman Alert — TBC Anniversary

Clear shield and totem reminders for WoW TBC Anniversary, with spell icons,
automatic specialization filtering, optional sounds and easy-to-use settings.

## Specialization filtering

Restoration tracks supported, learned Water Shield and Earth Shield.
Elemental tracks supported, learned Water Shield. Enhancement has no shield
reminders. All enabled totem slots are monitored for every specialization.

TBC specialization is determined by the talent tree with the most points.
Tied or unknown trees fall back to learned spells. These are reminder presets;
manual switches disable alerts but do not override the specialization filter.

## Easy setup

Open settings with **/sa**, **/sa settings**, or the minimap button.
Enable the reminders you need, select **Self** or **Focus** for Earth Shield,
and use **Move shields** or **Move totems** to position the displays.
Reopen settings and click the corresponding **Lock** button when finished.

To monitor your tank, select them and type **/focus**, then choose **Focus**
under Earth Shield. Only your own Earth Shield is counted.

## Installation and updates

Download **ShamanAlert-TBC-Anniversary-1.7.2.zip**, extract it, and copy the
**SchamanenAlarm** folder into **World of Warcraft/_anniversary_/Interface/AddOns/**.
Keep that internal folder name. Restart WoW for a new installation and enable
**Shaman Alert**. For updates, replace the addon files and type **/reload**.
Character settings are preserved.

## Useful commands

- `/sa` — open settings.
- `/sa help` — show commands and detected specialization.
- `/sa test` — preview all alerts.
- `/sa sound` — toggle sound.
- `/sa size 30` — set font size.
- `/sa seconds 5` — set warning lead time.
- `/sa combat` — toggle combat-only shield reminders.
- `/sa water` — toggle Water Shield reminders.
- `/sa earthshield self`, `/sa earthshield focus`, `/sa earthshield off` — configure Earth Shield.
- `/sa fire`, `/sa earth`, `/sa watertotem`, `/sa air` — toggle totem slots.
- `/sa move` and `/sa lock` — move and lock shield alerts.
- `/sa movetotems` and `/sa locktotems` — move and lock totem alerts.

## Reminder behavior

Shield reminders default to combat-only; totem reminders also appear outside
combat. An enabled empty totem slot warns even if you have not learned a totem
for that element, so disable unused slots. Totems are monitored by element slot,
not by a selected spell, range or party buff coverage. Icons follow the last
observed totem of each element until reload.

There is no low-charge warning. Normal reminders are hidden while dead or on a taxi.
The preview intentionally shows all alerts regardless of specialization.

## Compatibility and feedback

For **TBC Anniversary**, interfaces **20505 / 20506**. This package is not the
Forever edition. Include your game build, specialization, addon version,
combat state, reproduction steps and Lua error when reporting a problem.
