What's new

ShadowlessBamCrit 26.09.09.1 – Retail 12.1 UI Compatibility

This release focuses on the intermittent Blizzard protected-action warning that could be attributed to ShadowlessBamCrit when opening protected UI such as the Game Menu, while keeping crit sounds and visual effects unchanged.

Protected UI / taint hardening

  • Removed the old global frame scan from the addon window-focus helper
  • ShadowlessBamCrit no longer discovers or modifies frames owned by other addons
  • Removed the legacy EasyGuildInvite cross-addon frame handling entirely
  • Removed dynamic Raise() calls and continuously increasing frame-level changes
  • Window focus handling is now limited to explicitly created ShadowlessBamCrit windows and skips protected frames and combat lockdown
  • Existing fullscreen visual effects remain click-through and excluded from window-focus handling

Diagnostics

  • Added /sbctaint for support diagnostics
  • Records the latest ADDON_ACTION_BLOCKED / ADDON_ACTION_FORBIDDEN event attributed by Blizzard to ShadowlessBamCrit
  • Reports addon version, blocked action, WoW version, build and interface number without invoking protected UI actions

AddOn list icon

  • Added IconTexture metadata so the ShadowlessBamCrit logo is shown in WoW's AddOns list instead of the question-mark placeholder
  • Reuses the same bundled PNG logo already used by the minimap launcher

Retail compatibility

  • Updated the Retail interface target to World of Warcraft 12.1.0 / interface 120100
  • Updated the CurseForge publication target from 12.0.1 to 12.1.0
  • No existing sound, visual-effect, statistics, history or profile settings are intentionally changed

If Blizzard still shows a protected-action warning after updating, reproduce it once and run /sbctaint, then include the resulting line in the bug report.
