What's new
ShadowlessBamCrit 26.07.14.1 – Retail Release
This stable Retail / Midnight release introduces the largest visual-effects update yet, together with many-to-many spell routing, safer expert tuning and full profile backup.
Visual Effects 2.0
- Completely redesigned, scrollable Damage and Healing effect editors
- Collapsible visual categories with Select All and Deselect All controls
- Expanded effect library covering Blood, Fire, Frost, Arcane, Lightning/Energy, Nature and Holy themes
- Separate Damage and Healing pools with Selected, Random and Cycle playback
- New Only via spell rules mode for fully assignment-driven visual playback
- Every effect can be previewed directly from the editor
- Promoted black-background source overlays now use tuned ADD rendering for stronger, cleaner results
- Obsolete and duplicate visual assets were removed
Many-to-many Spell Rules
- Drag spells from the spellbook or action bar directly onto an exact effect
- Drag spells onto a visual category to choose from the enabled effects in that category
- A single spell can be assigned to multiple effects and multiple categories
- The same visual effect can be shared by any number of spells
- Duplicate spell-to-target relations are prevented automatically
- When several targets match, one candidate is selected without stacking every overlay at once
- Existing one-to-one rules are migrated automatically to the new structure
- Unassigned spells can use the normal fallback profile or remain silent in rules-only mode
- Dedicated Spell Rules tab with localized spell names, icons and Spell IDs
- Clickable assignment counters and a separate management window
- Every individual spell-to-effect relationship can be removed independently
Expert Mode
- Guarded Expert Mode with a localized safety confirmation
- Per-effect render mode selection: BLEND, ADD or MOD
- Per-effect intensity multiplier and texture scale
- Reset individual effect tuning to its packaged defaults
- Advanced controls remain hidden for normal users until Expert Mode is explicitly enabled
Complete profile transfer
- New WoW-safe SBCPROFILE4 export format
- Exports the complete addon configuration, including:
- General settings and context filters
- Quick Toggle configuration
- Sound categories, selected sounds and playback modes
- Visual selections and timing
- Many-to-many spell assignments
- Per-effect expert tuning
- Window and UI settings
- Import the profile on another account or computer without rebuilding everything manually
- Older SBCPROFILE2 and intact SBCPROFILE3 profiles remain supported
- Expert Mode is deliberately disabled after import and must be confirmed again
Sound, statistics and usability
- Dedicated Sound Effects editor for Damage Crit, Healing Crit, Parry, Dodge, Block, Miss, Resist and Absorb
- Selected, Random and Cycle sound playback with instant previews
- Repaired Crit History and expanded Damage/Healing statistics
- Clickable highest-crit records with target, action, timestamp, location and context
- Live minimap Quick Toggle status
- Improved window focus and layout handling
- Complete localization coverage for all supported clients
Release automation
- CurseForge project ID
1280118is fixed in the publication workflow - Repository secret
CF_API_TOKENis used directly from ShadowlessBamCrit - Release and Beta publications are supported explicitly
- Each successful CurseForge upload returns and records a concrete file ID in
CURSEFORGE_LAST_UPLOAD.md
Retail compatibility
- World of Warcraft Retail / Midnight interface
120000 - Protected best-effort crit detection that avoids inaccessible Retail combat-log values
- Duplicate-event protection and improved player-spell attribution
Modern Retail does not expose every combat-attribution detail to addons. Standard damage and healing crits work well in testing, while extremely dense AoE, delayed effects and some automatic attacks can remain inherently ambiguous.
