Shade UI is a comprensive UI suite designed for players who enjoy a dark theme feel with modern design touches overall, bringing the default WoW UI into 2026 in many aspects without going too over board. Most elements are subtle in deisgn but pack a punch when it comes to utiltiy and features. 

Suggestion: I highly suggest to turn off most addons you may be running that provide core features so you do not run into in game error conflcits. Learn what Shade UI can you do so you can disable no longer needed addons. 

The Why
Shade UI is fully modular, you, the user controls whats off or on. You get to set up what you want to use and turn off what you don't.
Shade primarily just skins the default WoW aspects. (in most cases but not all)
While other addons may create their own custom aspects so they get full control, Shade UI keeps *most* things native at heart.
This means by default slightly more work load for the addon, but also potentially more reliability in some cases, as well as less work for me personally.
(it's a give and take and every addon is different.. there is no right or wrong way, this is just how i chose to do it.)

The What
Categories at a glance but not limited to:

• Unit Frames
• Mini Map

• Custom UI skin (entire UI subtle skin with loads of themes/options)

• CDM Manager (insanely well detailed)
• Performance page (FPS/graphic settings) 
• Profile sharing 
• Tons of fun vanity features (custom AFK screen) 
• Lots of various mods some addons don’t mess with
• Character panel with custom design and added features such as ilvl and enchants/gems at a glance and more.
• Friends List
• Party Frame Buffs/Debuffs
• Nameplates (small mods and open world utility) NOT actual nameplates, just mods to the native nameplates
• TONS of utility mods, such as show/hide toggles, reminders, and more
• Bags (but subtle) BoE saver, gold tracker, moveable bag frame and more
• PvP sections and mods, such as a custom PvP queue notify system (adopted from my Arena Core addon), hide/show aspects of the UI while in arena, dampening display, honor cap reminder and much more
• Misc mods such as cursor finder, repair costs, Queue Eye mover, better load screen mod and more. (a lot more)

New User Setup
New users get a special on boarding screen, prompting you to choose your most played aspect of the game, PvP or PvE, this will automatically set up basic functions and create a proper foundation for you to build off of based on your play style. This is only the foundation, you are encouraged to open the UI window and refine as needed. You can also change the default layout anytime in game using the ingame settings. 

FPS, CPU and memory usage were all tested during raids, mythic+ and Arenas with no major affect on performance as it is fully optimized in ways that are viable to Midnight and beyond. Moreover, as with all addons.. there can be edge cases and issues, in which case I am open to feedback and suggestions.

Custom design aspects
All assets in this addon were either made by myself (I am a graphic designer on the side) along with other aspects such as the custom Class Icons, certain various UI assets and even the Shade UI Logo are all made by my personal graphic designer I use for my other buisness of mine. Creating a fresh take to UI/UX that users arent particularly maybe used to seeing. 

Default WoW vibe
Most features are made with the default wow UI in mind, for example the Bag mods all mod the default bag window, nothing drastic was overhauled, the same can be said for things like the character panel, UI frame mods, the in game Mini Map and more. While Shade does make them pop and give them more utility, it doesnt drastically overhaul them UI wise. 

Settings:
The UI can be brought up with /shade, or by using the fast access exit menu button.
