ScalopeRaidFrames

A complete, from-scratch replacement for Blizzard's default raid and party frames — built to be simple, stable, and fully customizable.

If you've ever run into weird raid frame glitches, missing health bars, or "action blocked" errors caused by addons that try to modify Blizzard's built-in compact frames, this addon takes a different approach: it doesn't touch Blizzard's frames at all. Instead, it hides them and draws its own, completely independent set of raid/party frames from scratch. No conflicts, no taint, no surprises.

What you get

Clean, simple frames

• A health bar with a health percentage, plus a slim mana/rage/energy bar underneath.
• The member's name, colored by class, shown right on the health bar.
• Frames automatically dim for units that are out of range or dead, just like the default UI.
• A configurable highlight (a colored outline, or corner brackets like Blizzard's Edit Mode) shows which frame is currently your target.

Two looks to choose from

Pick whichever fits your UI:

• Scalope — a clean custom skin made for this addon.
• Classic — the exact same textures Blizzard uses on its own raid frames, if you want something more familiar.

Correct raid layout

Frames are grouped into columns that match the real in-game subgroups (Group 1, Group 2, etc.) — not just raw roster order — so your layout stays correct even after the raid leader drags people between groups.

Main Tank / Main Assist frames

Tanks and the main assist can automatically get their own separate, clearly labeled frames ([MT] / [MA]), shown in their own movable box above or beside the main raid group.

Pet frames

An optional separate frame group shows your group/raid's active pets, so you can keep an eye on them without cluttering the main grid.

Profiles

Save multiple complete setups (size, spacing, style, mana bar thickness, highlight color, and even screen position) and switch between them instantly — handy if you like a compact layout for 5-mans and a wider one for raids.

Ready Check

When a Ready Check goes out, every frame shows the familiar Waiting / Ready / Not Ready icon, just like Blizzard's own frames — the icon lingers for a few seconds after the check ends so you don't miss a late answer.

"My Buffs" tracker

Optionally show small icons on your allies' frames for the specific buffs you personally cast on them (Rejuvenation, Renew, Blessing of Might, Power Word: Shield, and more, depending on your class) — with a shrinking-icon cooldown swipe so you can see at a glance when they're about to fall off. Fully configurable: icon size, position, how many to show, and whether they should only appear out of combat.

Low health overlays

Two optional visual warnings, ported from HealSuite's raid visibility module so you don't need HealSuite installed to use them:

• A self overlay that tints your own frame red as your health drops below a threshold you set.
• A raid damage overlay that does the same for any group/raid member below a chosen health percentage — with options for a flat or gradual tint, a partial or full-bar fill, and an optional "only if they're in healing range" filter.

Extra visibility options

• Hide everyone's name except your own.
• Hide the raid/party group title bar.
• Hide role icons (useful mainly if you fall back to Blizzard's native frames).

Click-casting

Built-in support for Clique, so your existing click-cast bindings work directly on ScalopeRaidFrames without any extra setup.

Minimap button

A simple, draggable minimap button opens and closes the options panel with a left click.

Getting started

Everything is configurable from an in-game options panel — open it with the minimap button or by typing /srf. You can lock/unlock the frames to drag them around, switch styles, resize things, create profiles, and toggle every option described above, all without touching a config file.

Slash Commands

• /srf or /srf options — open the options panel
• /srf on / /srf off — enable/disable the addon
• /srf lock / /srf unlock — lock/unlock frame dragging
• /srf style scalope / /srf style classic — switch visual style
• /srf width <n>, /srf height <n>, /srf spacing <n>, /srf manaheight <n> — quick sizing commands
• /srf resetpos — reset the frame position if it ever ends up off-screen
• /srf profiles — list your saved profiles
• /srf debug — print diagnostic info (useful for bug reports)

Notes

• Works in party and raid; the frames replace Blizzard's compact unit frames entirely (they stay hidden while the addon is enabled).
• No dependency on Ace3 or any other library — this addon is fully self-contained.
