# S2 Loot Finder 0.8

An in-game loot browser and equipment information addon for World of Warcraft: Midnight Season 2.

This is English documentation for the existing addon. The current interface and season instance-name filter use Korean text; this file does not add English-client localization.

## Features

- Browse dungeon and raid loot with difficulty, class, specialization, boss, and equipment-slot filters.

- Save favorites per character and dim items already owned by the current character.

- Include Tidebound Grotto and Nymrissa Wavecaller in the season instance list.

- Display equipment item levels on bag, character bank, Warband bank, character-sheet, and Inspect icons.

- Show an equipment summary beside your character sheet or another player's Inspect window.

- Show other players' average equipped item levels in mouseover tooltips.

- Show a compact equipment summary beside party and raid unit frames while out of combat.

- Share equipment panels with AltLedger and loot-source navigation and favorites with ClassGuideKR.

Targets WoW 12.1.0 (`Interface: 120100`). Existing settings in `S2LootFinderDB` and per-character favorites in `S2LootFinderCharDB` are preserved.

## Installation

1. Copy the `S2LootFinder` folder into `_retail_/Interface/AddOns/` in your WoW installation.

2. Enable **S2 Loot Finder** in the AddOns menu on the character selection screen.

3. Click the map icon on the minimap or enter `/s2loot`.

After updating the addon while the game is running, use `/reload`.

## Browsing loot

Select a dungeon or raid to see loot from all its bosses. The boss selector lets you narrow the list to a single encounter. Class and specialization selections apply the game's Encounter Journal loot filters.

Use the **By Instance** (`던전별`) and **By Slot** (`부위별`) tabs to switch browsing modes. By Slot lists matching items across the season's instances, together with their source instance and boss.

Click the heart beside an item to save it. Open **Favorites** (`즐겨찾기`) to view saved items. Shift-click an item to insert its link into chat. Items owned in bags or the bank have desaturated icons and dimmed names and details.

The difficulty selector offers Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. Dungeon and raid difficulties are handled separately. Item information comes from the Encounter Journal for the selected difficulty; the addon does not substitute hard-coded item levels or convert dungeon upgrade tracks into raid tracks.

Items are sorted by equipment slot. Non-equipment rewards such as recipes, appearances, mounts, and decorations appear at the bottom. When item information is not cached, the addon requests it and refreshes the list when data arrives.

The window and minimap icon positions are saved. Drag the bottom-right window handle to resize the loot browser; the saved size is restored on the next login.

Favorites are character-specific. Legacy account-wide favorites from before development version `0.10.0.0` are migrated once to the first character that logs in after updating. The older `0.9.0.1` release included a one-time reset of favorites stored with difficulty-specific links; this is historical release information, not a new reset in 0.8.

## Equipment display options

Click **Equipment Options** (`장비 옵션`) in the loot window's title bar. The four account-wide options are independent:

In 0.8, the former bag/bank setting becomes the shared equipment-icon setting. Its saved value is retained; the old independent character-icon setting is no longer used.

The standard equipment side panel is 360 pixels wide and follows the height of its character or Inspect window. It shows slot, item level with upgrade progress, and item name. These panels support item tooltips and modified item clicks. They follow the equipment tab's visibility and refresh as equipment or item data changes.

The mouseover summary uses a separate compact layout: 320 × 326 pixels for 16 slots, 18-pixel rows, and 2-pixel column gaps. It appears beside the hovered party or raid frame, switching to the left when space on the right is insufficient. It disappears when combat begins, the tooltip closes, or the hovered target changes. It is read-only: moving off the unit frame does not keep it open for item-by-item inspection.
